How many hunts are represented on this board?

I grew up hunting with Pickering in Phoenixville/Eagle/Chester Springs, PA and was occasionally a guest with Radnor, and my dream is to return to it again; but for now I just get to read about hunting through y’all…

Midland Fox Hounds in Georgia since 90-91.

Santa Ynez Valley Hounds in Santa Barbara County, California. Am counting
my blessings for our fabulous landowners. Room to hunt in California can
be very challenging!

Darlin’, that’s a LOT of W’s!!! Where exactly is Warwickshire? I LOVE England! I met some WWII vets in Normandy, France, last June 6th. It was a life changing experience for me. They were all British since I was on Gold Beach, aka Arronmanches. I am a terrible Anglophile. One dear 84 y/o vet has invited me to come stay with him in Cornwall any time I wish. He actually went out and found a livery down the road from him so that I could ride during my visit…God bless the veterans![/QUOTE]

Warwickshire is in the heart of England. Our claim to fame is Shakespeares birthplace, a large tourist trap called Stratford-upon-Avon. Take up the invitation for Cornwall, you’l have a blast!!

The Warwickshire Hunt is one of the oldest Fox Packs in the UK. Our most notable member is Charlie Boy himself (HRH).

My daughter and I have been members of TanHeath Hunt for the past three years.

Metamora Hunt - Metamora, MI

Belong to the Beaufort Hunt in Harrisburg, PA. But have also hunted with Elkridge, Middleburg and Rose Tree. Was very honored to hunt in their absolutely gorgeous hunt territory

Grew up hunting with Brandywine & Cheshire. Hunted for the Master of Green Spring for 2 seasons. Loved that job. Mabey someday I will hunt with some of these new Florida hunts.

Hunted my first year with James River Hunt (about 1998 or 1999, I think), then joined with Colonial Foxhounds out of New Kent County, Quinton, Virginia. I was a whip for Colonial up until I had to curtail my hunting due to having a child and an unsupportive SO. I have capped a few times with Reedy Creek Hounds over the past few years. Due to other commitments during the last five years, my hunting was very limited. I also went with Colonial on a joint meet with Oak Ridge (MFH Brown) and another hunt from her area, but I don’t remember who they were since it’s been so long.

BTW, I FINALLY GOT OUT AND HUNTED THIS PAST WEEKEND!!! Yeah, I know, I missed the entire cubbing season but…I’M BAAAACCCKK! :D:D Not only did I get to hunt but was asked very early on in the hunt to assist at whipping in again! Man, I’m so glad to be back! I didn’t realize just how much I had missed it!

Well, over the years … I’ve hunted with Fairfield County Hounds, Litchfield Hounds, Old Chatham Hounds…moved to the warmer climate of NC…Moore County Hounds…moved west…hunting with Coal Valley Hounds and hopefully Harvard Fox Hounds. Loved them all!!! …especially the western hunts.

my turn! Hunting Fool!

Have my colors with Bull Run Hunt and Loudoun Hunt and with the Ashland Bassetts. Am landowner with Warrenton Hunt and try to get out with them every chance I can. Great hunt! Avid car follower with a couple of local hunts (my favorite is Old Dominion Hounds! woooo hoooo!) but not a currently paid member of anyone…I am an admitted Professional Guest! It’s absolute hunting heaven around here! Why not!! Oh, I’ll break down and join, maybe next year!! I prefer American hounds…

Hows this…in 1 week recently I went out with Warrenton & fox ran thru my farm with hounds in tow! I viewed & tally hoed a coyote later! Then the next day I went out with Ashland Bassets and viewed of course with an “accounting”. And then a few days later I went out with a beagle pack near me called the Orlean Foot Beagles and wowee-zoweee we was rockin’!!! Super pack! Super week!!

Am currently icing my knee when I'm not online or planning my next hunting experience! Anybody wanna join me?! Beagles? Bassetts? Foxhounds!?? Life is good! And don't ask me which I liked better! I always like the ones in front of me the best!! Foot hunting really has an appeal; it's so simple, basic and you can get up front and see everything in a take your own line kinda way. Around here; some of the hunts are really single file long lines where all you get to see are the butts of the riders in front of you!!;) I'm very much a viewing, watching, listening kinda hunter. Love old fashioned hilltopping! Just love it......

Chula Houma Hunt, Pickens MS (Volunteer hunt)
25th anniversary hunt is scheduled for Nov 10, 2007
It will be my 3-4th year hunting. I grew up hacking and my son(16) dragged me into foxhunting. I echo “how did I ever survive without hunting?” He is apprentice staff this year and thrilled.
He now tells me he wants to make his profession kennelman or huntsman… Being the good mother that I am, I will be seeking internships for him this summer.
He interned with Midland this past summer for a month and learned a lot. If he is never a kennelman/huntsman he will still be a great asset to our hunt with the skills he learns. He says “Can you imagine being PAID to hunt?” I’ll just leave it at that and hope that our huntsman can help us to find a great internship this year.
And, BTW have you priced whips??? They’re whips, for goodness sake!
Fran

I am currently one of the joint masters of the Wicomico Hunt on the eastern shore of MD (God’s Country) also have my colors with Camden Hunt in SC and was a whip many many many moons ago with Midland.

Tanheath Hunt Club, Putnam, CT. Lookin South- look forward to seeing you on Sunday for our Blessing of the Hounds. It’s usually an exciting day.

Nearly forgot…still a member (although no longer hunt there) at Deep Run, kennels and most hunting located south of the James River in Cumberland County, VA.

I’m lazy

So how many hunts is that? Anyone count them?

Good to see some footpacks represented too.

I’ll tally them up when I get home tonight; too busy at work.

Everyone check in? Are we missing anyone?

Casanova

Ashland Bassets (Foot pack)

Just a subscriber to both and I hunt my beagle on my own and my neighbors farms. (at least I did until she came down with Lyme)

Well, if we’re adding in not only the hunts of which we’re members, but the hunts with which we’ve hunted, add in a few more for me:

LouDon Hunt; Galesburg, MI (a drag farmer pack) - have colors, whipped in there a thousand years ago; they started my hunting career

Metamora Hunt; Metamora, MI - a guest years ago

Red Rock Hounds; Reno, NV - hunt w/ them at an annual Joint Meet

Kingsbury Harriers; Inyokern, CA - hunt w/ them at an annual Joint Meet + other times like the Western Hunt Challenge

High Country Hounds; Flagstaff, AZ - hunt w/ them during the Western Hunt Challenge

Tryon Hounds - hunted w/ them during their visit to AZ for the Great Southwest Foxhunt Fandango a few years ago

Waldingfield Beagles; VA - both mounted and on foot while they were here in AZ for the WHC

I think I’m missing someone from the big Thanksgiving Hunt Week in AZ last year, but can’t remember if it was Santa Fe…

Count in Loudoun West, Rappahannock and Bull Run.
