How to watch WEG?
ok, so if I go in under the UK flag, and get on BBC, there will be a red button? and if I ‘push’ it I can get the Equestrian programming?
NO. The red button function is available by pushing the red button on the remote. You have to be physically present in the UK to use this digital feature.

I have links to the second half of the Dressage, sound sucks but its something.
PM me for links.

The replays from this morning are up and running on the website. No access from the iPad app and my ancient Mac couldn’t get them to play. But my work laptop (PC) pulled them down just fine. Got my reining fix for the day while I ate my lunch.

Are replays free to watch?

If you are using Safari, try using Chrome…

I have many Youtubes that won’t play on Safari but work just fine on my Mac with Chrome…

Replays are not free. I ponied up and paid the annual subscription fee.

Actually, when I checked with their tech support it seems to be an OS version issue (I’m 10.5.x and it needs to be 10.6 or newer). As said, it’s an ancient mac (2008 MacBook Pro, original).

Thank you! That works! I guess we all were not patient enough to wait through enough of the dead air on the front end of the replay.
The issue is that there is not even a link to watch the replays. There are replays from the Nations Cup are available, but not WEG. I contacted customer support and they have not been helpful.

Does anyone want to actually talk about the actual Dressage?
Or should we start a new thread for that?

Nottingham…I’m watching on a desktop, using Firefox.

Using this link http://www.feitv.org/live

and then signing in as a paying customer, and then clicking on the tab that says “Replays”

If you want to PM me with an email address, I’ll try to send you a screen shot. It’s a shame to be paying for the subscription and not be able to watch. Customer Service is probably swamped.

We should start new threads for both the dressage and the reining.

I don’t have a functional desktop at the moment, only an iPad. Therein lies the problem

So after uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox and Adobe Flash, I can see the replay of the Opening Ceremony. However, while the audio is fine, the video is jerky. SOOOOOOO frustrated!!!

On the video, there are three settings. Try the highest one.

But: your connection may not support that level of video. We don’t have first world internet here in America, I’m afraid.

You may be able to watch it by downloading the app for BBC?

https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/bbc-sport/id377388936?mt=8

I saw on a news article they were streaming or playing videos on their app. Haven’t tried it yet.

I have FEI tv subscription and have watched some live and just found the replay button. Am watching last section of this morning’s dressage. Picture is great, commentary is great. Using a macbook air laptop and Chrome browser.

Update on the app issue: got an email confirming that the replays WILL be available on the app but it takes time to encode the videos, so they get uploaded every Wednesday. So I guess we wait and see.

That’s great. I have an ancient computer (2006) & trying to watch the replay of this morning’s dressage was an exercise in frustration. Watching live on my ipad has been great.

Dear FEI,

yYou have priced this potential audience member out of being able to watch the WEG by raising your monthly view fee just in advance of the event.

I was a full-time subscriber at one time, but the website was so hit-and-miss and buggy that I unsubscribed. I had planned on subscribing for month, until you raised the fee to over $40. I need that money for actually riding.

Thanks for nothing!!

I used to have good luck with ExPat Shield, but then BBC.co.uk got on to me. Then I tried Tunnel Bear. It was even better than ExPat Shield, but BBC, again, was onto them. I just downloaded an update for TunnelBear. I’ll let you know how it turns out. Really want to watch!
