How to watch WEG?

I am grouchy because we tried very hard to watch the opening ceremonies before the 7 days were up, but it wouldn’t play. Looking at the WEG coverage from 2010, I’m hoping that they’ll come back up eventually.

On the bright side, my daughter and I had a fine time watching the Endurance instead. It wasn’t exactly action packed, but my daughter was enthralled watching the French countryside as the helicopter pilot searched in vain for the horses… Our favorite part was watching the horses in neighboring fields catch sight of the WEG riders and get all excited.

It was interesting to watch the vet box action and to see the horses close up at the checkpoints.

It worked! You had to move the cursor to the right. the intro took forever and the “live event will begin shortly” appeared on the Live broadcast which was recorded. But if you clicked to the right a bit on the “play” line, it worked.
I watched in again in bits and pieces several times.

For anyone who watched via FEI TV and is annoyed by the uneven coverage I wrote FEI TV an email. I (as politely as possible of course) wrote how I, as a paid subscriber was dissapointed at the uneven coverage, how I missed out on seeing so much of my countries riders and of many other riders because a lot of the screen time was taken up by one rider at a time (particularly the French) and how it wasn’t fair not only to the subscribers but also the riders. They trained hard, sacrificed and then went on the ride of their life only to get no screen time. I suggested that they upload the footage they must have that wasn’t aired on the website.

Don’t know what they’ll do about it but maybe if enough people who are annoyed and feeling a bit cheated email them maybe they’ll upload some more?

Oh, man. I wish I’d thought to try to skip ahead. We let it run for like 8 minutes thinking it was just slow internet… all the others started after a minute or so. I’m kind of thinking the controls weren’t even up though.

Unfortunately you have to sign up for first month for $45, and then each additional month is $15 to cancel at any point.

my thought is they waited till the last minute to raise the price. Like most, I was looking for a bargain, free if I could find it. I couldn’t. So I signed up, and because I had trouble, they offered me 20% off a year subscription. I thought I would do a month and see if I liked it before I signed up for a month, but that was such a good deal, I snatched it up. I think it is crook to raise the price, but that is what you call a captive market.

I guess instead of creating another “unique email” I should have written to them… as it is I created another email addy, paid… then complained… and they placed everything under the original email… but no discount… too bad, they won’t keep me as a customer!
