I know there have been numerous posts about the best hunter stallion but here is another. I’m getting ready to breed my mare, she is 16.1 Hanoverian x TB. Her sire is Argosy (han). I’m looking for a stallion to put solid bone on the foal, preferibly a larger foal then my mare, (yes I know thats hard to select for but I’m only interested in stallions producing foals over 16.2 on average) chiseled head, flat knee movement, and scopey jump. Ideas?? 
You might get a better response if you provide a lot more info on your mare. Good conformation pictures are helpful too. 
If your mare doesn’t have a pretty head, flat kneed movement and a scopey jump, chances are her foal won’t either. However most stallions produce their best from a certain type of mare, so taking a critical look at her is a good starting point.
She has a beautiful head, mainly I’m looking for a stallion that’s not going to put an big ugly head on the foal. She’s a good mover, always in the ribbons in the under saddles. And she already has a good jump Id just like to get a little better shoulder angle. I will try to get some pictures up soon.

Here is when she was a yearling, she hasn’t changed much since then just a little taller. I’ll try to get a jumping one up soon.
Apiro and Cabardino comes to my mind for good jump and adding substance.
I also saw a premium Rio Grande foal this year at the OLD NA inspection in my area that was stunning. He jumped every single pole on the ground and showed beautiful gaits.
i second Apiro. he also passes along a great temperament-willing, smart, very sweet. and gorgeous head and necks!
We are thrilled with our C.Quito colt this year, out of our TB mare (who also has a beautiful head). You can see by this photo (with me!) that Q has a gorgeous head himself. :yes: He also has tremendous bone and an amazing jump.

Apiro does look nice – shares the “A” line in Hanoverian breeding with Argosy (who has Absatz both sides of his pedigree). Argosy’s jumping strength undoubtedly comes from the top side…Dynamo (Don Carlos).
There are some very well- educated breeders here, so it would be great for the input.

take a look at Amazing…he definitely meets your three requests, and in his first two crops, is really stamping his foals. If you’re willing to take a risk with a younger stallion, he may suit your mare. Do you have any other pictures? He is a giant puppy dog, and his foals are very sweet and people oriented. He also has fantastic European jumper breeding in a hunter package with great movement and jump style.

C.Quito is incredibly handsome, I’m not a fan of the grey color only because I would really like a bay or dark bay, but that is getting really picky. But color aside he is a definite possibility. Additionally I am trying to stay away from the Dutch warmbloods, and I know tons of people have had great success with them, but everyone I know has had hind end issues, like EPSM. A Fine Romance is beautiful, I actually know someone looking for a nice TB to breed to for the hunter ring and they have a full WB mare. I am still looking to breed the TB out of my horse, not that she is hot but she has her moments. The next go around (her babies baby) will most likely be bred to a TB though. And yea everyone on here is super helpful also mentioning stallions that I haven’t thought of yet.

I suspected you wanted to go WB, but wasn’t sure. That’s why I mentioned AFR. If you had a full wb mare, he’d be my first choice.
Allegria has been just super in the show ring…you’ve done a great job with her from her “foal-hood”.
Picking the right stallion for her (also her bloodlines and your “candidates” bloodlines and offspring records) is going to be a great experience.
Get some of your great jumping photos up…and even some of your show videos. “Way of going” counts too.

Additionally right now I’m considering Rosenthal, does anyone know anything about him? I know he is primarily a dressage stallion, but I have seen some hunter babies by him. My biggest concern is jumping ability and temperament. I don’t want to breed my mare to someone that is going to make the baby hotter.
I never know on these threads whether OP really wants an honest opinion or not…seems dicey but it is after all a public forum, so here goes:

Mare doe not appear to be a 10 mover… So if breeding for yourself, for a hunter type, pick a stallion that appears to improve movement! Westporte comes to mind…others I am sure

Mare appears to have a good back end over fences…always hard to judge front ends when they are starting out…but if want or aspire to upper level hunters, then I would be less concerned re the movement improvement and go with the more “jumper” bred stallions…many all ready mentioned .
I don’t think performance wise Rosenthal would improve this mare one bit…again, not sure of your goals

From getting her as foal (and with you as a little kid yourself) you’ve done a fantastic job. To take her to #22 nationally A/O 3’3" in just a year is commendable. Your VHSA standing at 11 isn’t shabby either. Frankly, that’s pretty amazing doing this all by yourself…
Glad you want to keep improving the ride and find her the right “boyfriend”.
Hope your first year at Va Tech vet school goes great!

Wow Sid…thanks for adding back story! Very impressive OP and in VET school too boot! Wow… I think I became a doctor because 1. Watching animals die too traumatic but 2. Too hard to get into vet school lol
