Wow!, lil ole me in Florida with my little red barn and my string of old lesson horses. I didn’t know I was famous or was a big enough name to attract overseas customers. Just look at the email I got.

I would want you to give me the cost of the tuition for 6 months as I would want the tuition to hold 3 times in a week and last for 1 hour daily. Note that my son once had a tutor in March who lost his wife in a car accident and decided to stop teaching.

Additionally, please give me your address or the address of where you normally teach your students, so that I can have the idea of where lessons will be taking place,as we are presently out of US,but arrangement have been concluded for Paul to come to US.

Smarter. My mom got a PHONE CALL recently about a bench warrant for missed jury duty. Having been in the hospital for a while, she panicked, complied with the guy completely, and then somebody on another board mentioned a scam to me. Did some digging, and yep - it was a scam. The FBI is now involved since the guy was impersonating a federal official.

But as that’s not HR, back to your regularly scheduled thread

take it to the bank, report it and then toy with him,.
There is a great web site about a gal who does this. She leads them all around, stringing them along for weeks, then tells them she had to spend their money for an emergency, …That could be a vet bill, or ring repair, or whatever.
They of course freak that she isn’t sending them their big pay off, and then tell them that there are problems with the bank and check…
let us know how it pans out!!

The person you are thinking of that toys with the scammers is Bustedupcowgirl. She posts occasionally on another forum I go to.

I am not ARIA certified so I do not know where he got my information. Polocenter? The Barn Book? Who knows.

I did this once. Entertained myself completely. It was a response to one of the Nigeria ones. I just copy/pasted their letter into my response then changed all the words to be a response from me. So, where the guy said, “I am Prince Nutambu and my father was killed, his assets ceased and my family is being held against their will…” I’d say, “Prince Nutambu, great to hear from you. I am Princess Jajodi of Virginia. While my father still lives, we have all made certain that he include us in his will so that we may live fat, happy lives off of his wealth after he is detained or dies from natural causes. I think the only members of my family being held against their will are my two Jack Russell terriers, as they seem to be unable to miss an opportunity to jump 3 ft in the air every time we pass the door. This is their code for, “Please. Let us out.” Speaking of, you and I should create a code to speak in moving forward if we are going to do this deal.”

I forwarded it to all my friends after I sent it to the guy. Needless to say, I never heard from him. He also included a picture of himself in full tribal garb. I ran a Google image search for ‘African Princess’ and cut and pasted in the most authentic picture I could find and said that was me. What fun I had.

It would seem that I need to contact the Bank of Nigeria for the $19.5 million inheritance I have not yet claimed. Funny, I was not aware of any relatives dying…especially rich ones.
