Did you do an upgrade of some sort? I can no longer edit posts in IE 11. I can do it on Safari.
What happened?
OMG, even more bugs. If you want to read a post from a poster on your ignore list, the browser doesn’t show the post. It shows one line with the date and time stamp for the post. Also, it doesn’t refresh correctly anymore after I post. I have to do a manual refresh. This latest update really is buggy with my version of IE.
The tech folk are doing some vBulletin upgrades to further address the hacking issue we recently experienced. They’re still fiddling around behind the scenes, so let’s wait until they finish doing what they’re doing, and then we’ll look into any pervasive issues.

Quote function not working
The quote function is not working for me. Multiple quote and regular quote. Multiple quote just leaves me with nothing in the box when I hit reply. If I pick regular quote it just spins forever and nothing ever happens.
Using Firefox, no idea what version (or how to figure out) on a PC. (I am sure you want more information than that but you will have to tell me how to find it if you really need it.)
Ditto that, using Microsoft Edge.
Tried logging off and back on… didn’t help.
I can’t edit or reply with a quote in Safari or Puffin. Was fine yesterday, not this morning. Hope this info helps the techies narrow down the problem.
As of last night Google Chrome was letting me post, edit, reply, etc.

Cannot edit, but when I do post a(n initial) reply I get an error msg saying I need to wait 30sec between posts
The smilies will not work for me either.
I can make the pop-up come up and when I pick the emoticon of my choice nothing appears in the post.
Edit does not work either, I see there is already a thread about that. I guess this is all tied together.
I was going to edit to add that manually typing to get the smile worked. Too bad I do not know the key strokes for all the others.

I am using firefox.
I checked the settings, and post editing is supposedly still enabled.
There is a 30 second restriction between creating new posts. I’m not sure if that is new…it’s a measure to avoid someone from flooding the forum with posts. We can adjust that if it’s new and a hassle.
It seems I’m always saying this, but first off, perhaps try clearing your caches for the site…can be a good first step before we diagnose further.

The 30 second rule has been around for some time. I have encountered it before. It is not an issue. You just wait a bit and then hit post again.
Disregard that suggestion – I just tested the edit post function and got the spinning wheel of death…cleared my cache to no avail.
I’ll do some poking around, then send a message to IT if I can’t come up with anything.

I’m also having issues with double posting. Is that happening for others?
There is another thread where edits and replies are having “issues”.
I’d suspect (with no concrete knowledge) that this is all related and Mod1 has seen the issues and it working it behind the scenes.
And I can post but not edit the reply I just posted…
