Heck, now I can’t even like some posts.
The post data message showed up for me now also this morning. Also getting that must wait 30 second message when i post. Thanks Mod 1 for trying to get all these issues fixed.
I can edit a post and use smilies, but cannot post with quote.
I’m on Safari on an iPadAir
Well, I used to be able to edit, now it just spins forever like the Reply With Quote does.
It’s not the Mods, it’s their developers. I think it’s outsourced to another company. That would mean they are yelling at a vendor.
I am also getting the “Wait 30 Seconds”, even if I have only just tried to post once. It’s almost like it’s just defaulting to that.
Was having issues quoting posts as well.
Thanks for the feedback everyone. I combined another thread reporting glitches with this one and resent this thread to the IT folk to give them a status update.
I’m not sure where they are in the process of addressing the issues, but I know they were updating software to address the hacking issue we experienced earlier, so they just may need to do a little tweaking here and there to get things up to speed.
Our apologies for the inconvenience!

Mod1, I’ve also noticed the back arrow that used to take me back after a quick reply no longer does that. It takes me back to the actual Quick Reply box with my reply…

I think there may be an issue with the code for the browser side editor function.
A possible work around is for the member to go to the “SETTINGS” on left side of the top of the screen.
On the left side of that screen, look for “GENERAL SETTINGS” and click on that.
On the bottom of the general settings screen, look for where is says “Message Editor Interface:”.
Change that setting to “Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls”.
Then click on the button below that to save the change.
(reload the general settings page again and make sure that the change was properly saved).
Now.
To quote a post: RIGHT CLICK on the “REPLY WITH QUOTE” button and select “OPEN LINK IN NEW TAB”. You should now be able to reply with a quote.
To Edit your post: RIGHT CLICK on the “EDIT POST” button and select “OPEN LINK IN NEW TAB”. You should now be able to edit your post.
I have on idea if this will work on every Operating System or Browser.
But it works on my Mac computer running Safari.
Hope this helps.

OK, posting in a new tab works on Windows + Firefox.
And here’s an edit.
Of course doing it this way means lots of fiddling with extra tabs, and making sure one closes the ‘oldest’ one. Not a seamless interface at all.
I also get the ‘wait 30 seconds to post’ red message with every post.
A mess - difficult to post - some just vanish ?!
- hoping for help from Santa !

A poster in Off Topic reported that simply double clicking on the “Reply with Quote” button may work also.
I’m posting this using the double clicking method, and it works on my mac using Safari.

I just double clicked on the Reply with Quote button and it worked.
I am on a pc and use firefox.
MTA and I just edited this post using the same method.
MTA2 - and again, just to say that I didn’t touch Settings, I just double clicked on buttons.
Thanks for the tip, this whole thing was getting annoying!

Yep works on google chrome using the double click on quote.Easier to just double click for sure.
Trump and Putin have done this.
I developed the theory that the mods will try to educate us about really thinking and correcting our posts I really found out that I post usually to fast and then correct it about 3 times… Not possible right now

Except now we can get around the glitches. So can correct mistakes and back to fast thoughtless posts. Now you can go back and edit 3 times just double click the edit icon.
I hated having to make sure i had no typos…even at that still missed mistakes i made. Ok not cool double clicking the edit icon, doesn’t work now have to open in new tab to edit.
Double clicking is not working for me.
PC with Firefox.
