I agree with Velvet if we had a projected date of the new forum / soft wear the struggle might seem easier.
It’s Old - not a major problem but certainly takes the fun out of posting .
Others will jump me and say ’ then don’t post’
Yes ! I believe that is a good option that others have already enacted - and many of us are headed toward.

Just to add my feedback, I too am continuing to be unable to use the features of this forum - i.e., buttons for Reply, Reply With Quote, Edit, adding emoticons.
It’s making for some lollapalooza mistakes, creating misunderstandings, making the idea of posting a “quick” reply completely ludicrous (although it’s the only way to reply, since the “Advanced” feature doesn’t work either).
Am I correct that this is only happening on the Mac OS? Because I see that others are able to use, at least, the Reply with Quote feature. Maybe they’re on Windows platform?
No not necessarily - some can quote and edit and use icons.
Some use a ‘back door’ ’ method.
Some regardless of what they do or which systems or fixes they use
CAN NOT EDIT OR NOT QUOTE OR NOT USE ICONS - Or a variation of Nots.

Some of us can reply with a quote because we know how to do it manually.

I suspect the IT resources are limited in size. They can either deal with the current issues or focus on the larger, overall direction of upgrading the board software but not both. Me? I think they’re doing the right thing by focusing on the new direction at the expense of current issues 
As for editing… some have found workarounds Me? I read and re-read my post before I post it (which is what I used to do before you could edit things ).

I had the edit function until yesterday or the day before. Now I don’t have it. The Right Click on edit/delete with a right click on “open new tab” will open the edit window for me. Or at least it did this time.
I’m using Firefox mainly, but I still use XP for my OS.
In the changes, please make sure that XP will still work.
An update to let you know that we’re in our second round of beta testing the new site.
A couple teasers of new features they’re incorporating to tide you over during this frustrating period of transition:
– a clean, easy-to-read MOBILE interface!
– integrated single log-in for the main site and forums (while maintaining your anonymous forum username)
– the ability to tag other users in a post in the forums to draw their attention to a comment you’d like them to read
– the ability to have a private side chat with another user directly from a thread
They’re totally renovating the main site as well, but those a just a few new goodies from the Forums’ portion of the overhaul. They’ve definitely been busy.
There’s always a period of transition with an upgrade, and we’re sure they’ll be some things to change or fix when this one is rolled out, but this version should be a significant positive change.

When is the projected date for rolling out new site?? Oh yeah cant wait it’ll be great.
There’s no set date of which I’m aware. I think it’s ASAP after they finish troubleshooting the main issues and recreating or creating some of the features within the new platform that we want to keep from the old, and that aren’t inherent options.
This is not only a revamped Forums site, but also a revamped main site, so they have their hands full!
I really do think folks will like it once we get used to the changes!
