I got two fosters today

I don’t know why my arm looks so lumpy, must be the light.

Tuxie’s favorite spot seems to be on my shoulder. The last picture is the yawn before the dash up .

The tabby loves tummy rubs. They soon turn into free for all pounces and bite the hand sessions. He seems to be doing well on the pain meds. When they play so rough it makes my leg hurt in sympathy for him.

I think you’ve fostered before, right?

One word of advice, discourage biting hands. Biting/scratching is probably the biggest return reason behind inappropriate potty-ing.

I got my Maine coon at 6 months. Breeder played rough, let him bite. He’s 2.5 and I can’t break it. It hurts. What is cute at 4-8 weeks is not cute in an 18 lb brat. I love him, but it’s a constant battle.

Litter box and “no bite” are my biggest focus with my fosters.

I don’t let them use me as a chew toy. But I can’t resist a fat little kitten tummy either.

Tuxie’s eyes look so much better. Sending good, healing vibes to Tabby!

They’re both doing well and over the 2 lb mark now. Eating like little piglets but they were quite skinny when they got here so they had a lot to make up.

Tabby, Atoll, will be having surgery next week I believe. I know that’s what they’re hoping for but will depend on Dr availability.

Wow, they look so much better! Has it only been a week? You did a great job

And those little black toes are the cutest!

Does the first one have extra toes?
They look good and so very cute.

Hard to believe but yes, a week today.

@3PonyFarm, no extra toes. They were stretched out on my shorts. I do hope they master claw retraction soon. They get stuck on everything!

They look so happy. They know they are loved and cared for. Are they going to be able to pink his leg or will they have to amputate? I am hoping they can pin it the poor little thing.

She said amputate. The break is in a really bad spot and it can’t be fixed. :frowning:

I hate it for him but you can tell he can’t do what the other one does now. He drags that toe sometimes and has to sit with it stretched out in front of him.

I’m praying the surgery goes well and he recuperates quickly.:crossed_fingers:

Oh, that’s too bad. But I have seen and heard that they recover and actually get around just great. I bet he will not miss the pain.

If you need some help, I can send a dribble. I mean, I can’t resist those little faces.

That is more than generous of you but the shelter pays for all the costs associated with them.

Thank you for the offer!

Poor little man! A friend’s cat had a hind leg removed & did well as a tripod. They’re remarkably agile. Best wishes for you them. You’re really awesome for helping them

It’s amazing how fast animals can adapt. I’m sure he’ll be ok.

The only thing they told me he shouldn’t do is jump, so guess who’s getting strong enough to jump on the side of the tub? Yep.

I saw him do it this morning.

The kittens are doing great! I’m putting them in the spare bedroom some instead of the bathroom all the time.

I did have to get them another antibiotic to clear up the URI but it seems to be doing quite well. No more nasal discharge or sneezing.
