Explain why your horse is the best in the world.
Mine is because he takes care of me and is so kind.

Well of course because shes so forgiving and kind and tries SO hard for me. Every lesson my trainer is amazed at the work she gives because you look at her and think she cant do it, and then she does. Shes so loving and prissy at the same time. Shes my heart horse.
And then my baby horse is the best horse ever because hes so calm and relaxed about everything and no matter what I throw at him, he takes it all in stride like hes been doing it his whole life. Hes so centered and well mannered and loving in your pocket kind of pony.
because immediately upon exiting the show ring, my 4 yr. old twins can climb aboard and ride her back to the barn…
because despite many physical problems she still goes on…without complaint…
because at the end of the day she is the most beautiful horse in the world and knows it…
i could go on and on…
All horsemen are liars because they all say their horses are the best. I know they are lying because MY horses are the best.
Well, Tom, you are a horseman, therefore YOU are a liar!
It’s my horse. He’s the best. Just because.
Because she’s temperamental, classy, challenging, stubborn, insanely talented, loyal, so willing to learn, trusting, blond, sensitive, beautiful inside & out, and a little crazy; my mare is the best horse for ME. She’s taught me immense amounts and she’s mine for life because that’s never going to stop.
Beasmom: we all know YOUR the liar… My Petey is the best pony ever, All 17.1 hands of him. OK… maybe mine is the best bay horse, you can have the best red horse, oh wait you and Krazy may be tied for best red horses!
Lisa
(Hugs and kisses to Figgy and Rex!)
Because he makes me laugh. And I am sure I make him laugh, too. And that is, without doubt, the very best medicine of all.
Hahahaha! You’re right, Idlemoon!
Because he tries so hard for me and loves to be out in front of a crowd (as long as it isn’t in an indoor :D). He has a sense of humor that won’t stop but is also very much “mine”.
He’s my alter-ego! The obnoxious, cocky, crazy part of myself that I don’t subject the general public too . . . so they get him!
Because he makes me a better rider by never settling for mediocre.
Because he puts up with me and my own “I’m sorry, I don’t know what the hell I’m doing!” and while he’s still quite green himself, if I’m correct and clear with my aids, he gives me the desired response almost all the time. Likewise, if I’m not, he lets me know it, but not in a mean way. He’s a very good boy
I am sorry - but you are ALL WRONG!!!
My horse is the best - one time we were galloping up the field and my sons turned one way - but I was going another - my horse turned to go with them - but not me - he totally sensed and literally jumped underneath me to catch me - my boys saw this happen and couldn’t believe it. I was bracing to hit the ground and couldn’t believe he caught me.
I can clip my horse - every part of him - and he just stands there - he doesn’t need a halter on - I can do his ears and entire body - he won’t move.
I can always untack, massage and stretch him without tying him up - he comes when called - I let him eat grass on the side of the parking lot - he never goes anywhere - and comes when I call.
He loads onto the trailer by himself and when we come home he just comes off the trailer and goes into the barn - no lead shank needed.
He protects me from the other horses in the field - won’t let even the colt near me.
He works so hard for me - never gets upset with me and is always happy to work.
We have a sense of communication that I have never experienced before - sorry for the novel - I drive my husband and kids nuts - but he is perfect.
And he is the perfect horse for me. He has my heart and I know I have his. When I fell and broke my leg - my fault - he didn’t see me for 4 days - he didn’t eat for 4 days - just stood in the corral - I had to go see him as soon as I came home from the hospital - my husband was really worried about him - when he saw me he came right over - smelled my leg - wouldn’t let any other horses near and then went to go eat. He was so happy to see me.
Dan was the best. The Man for sure.
I love Win, and he is a close second. He is tough and arrogant and yet kind and intelligent. And he makes me smile with his weird, tongue flapping habit and his quirky personality.
Mine is an outstanding athlete that is kind enough to allow an amateur to learn how to jump over 5’ fences and compete in PSG dressage. We’ve been together since she was a foal, we’ve learned together, she’s always forgiven my mistakes and she has never, ever said “no”. I truly think I have been lucky enough to share 16 years with the horse that everyone would want to call their own.
Surely that’s enough for my horse to be the best in the world?
You are all, absolutely wrong. The best horse was last seen passaging away in front of the starting gates at Belmont, earning Vinnie a pair of commemorative concrete boots.
So difficult to ride in!! :sigh:

My old mare, who I had to put down, was the best in the world because I could always count on her. She’d never spook at my dog tearing through the bamboo out on trail, pack me around a course even though I’d invariably screw up the distances, do her best at a dressage test and always whinny to me when I arrived at her stall. The best compliment I ever received about her was from a trainer at another barn. She was agreeing with her student that I had a nice horse. She said “Everyone should be lucky enough to have a Tiffany (my mare) once in their life.” It was very sweet.
Her daughter is not the best in the world yet, but she is working on it.
The most perfect horse…
Nope, mine. She forgives me when I am an idiot, lets me help when she’s being an idiot, and is willing to learn new things even though she’s a mare of a certain age and her rider is not very good. She may seem to have an attitude to some people, but really she just wants you to be willing to do the work to meet her halfway (or not even that far). She is sane, smart, sensitive, has a great memory for training and for how to solve problems on the trail, and she is just very much her own unique self. And of course she is the most beautiful horse in the world.
My 4 y/o filly IS MOST DEFINITELY the best horse in the world. She is the equine equivalent to the Big Red Easy Button (plus she is beautiful). This girl is rock solid. She was born broke. Tonight we had our first formal “ride” (not counting the few times I hopped on her bareback with a halter).
She’s had a saddle on her back two or three times for fitting. Tonight it was like saddling a statue. I put the bridle on – first time ever – and she mouthed the bit for a few minutes and then declared, “Eh, whatever.”
Next a bit of longeing, just for the heck of it. We’ve done lots of ground work and recently some some ponying. I figured I’d try her over a couple of trotting poles. “Oh, you want me to just trot over these? You are such a boring human. Whatever.”
After boring her for 10 minutes more, and giving her brief, conceptual introduction to the mechanics of the full-cheek Happy Mouth, I got on. She just stood there waiting for instructions…
Damn, I love that horse.
