Thank you . She was named after a sassy, opinionated and temperamental British princess and boy does she live up to the name at times. I am just glad that she was smart enough to keep herself safe till she could come back inside.

The whipped cream on top of an already great day for me !!!

I can only imagine how happy you were in that moment !!!

My little spooky kitty was just that way. In my kitty’s case I think she probably grew up wild, and my other cat inviting her to live with us didn’t undo that. She wanted to be a domestic cat but couldn’t stop the wild instincts. (My little spooky kitty was coincidentally also a solid black cat. So was her companion, the outgoing people-loving happy cat.)

So happy she came back inside! My spooky kitty is also black but I didn’t have any advice on getting her back in. Mine went missing about 5 years ago for a whole month after slipping out. Finally saw something duck under an old concrete foundation with a hole in the back yard when letting the dogs out. Went over and called her name and heard a croak. Layed down and dragged her out of the hole with no resistance. She was emaciated and dehydrated but came back inside like nothing happened. She too was (very) chunky but after that she has never become overweight again. Her meower has never been the same though. People aren’t kidding about animals going feral into fight or flight when getting loose. Mine loves and I mean LOVES her dogs so I can’t believe she didn’t come out to see them if she was in the back yard the whole time. So either she was paralyzed with fear or ended up locked in somewhere at a neighbors.

So happy she’s back! I remember very well how awful I felt when my boy was missing and I didn’t want that for you. Damn cats! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’m so glad she is back! She’s just going to have to put up with any extra hugs, snuggles and kisses that get doled out. Give her some from me.
