ICE Raid At Delta Downs

An officer can respond and go from there. All it takes is a phone call to the applicable agency, as listed.

They don’t have to wait. I wouldn’t expect them to , nor would I insert myself into the situation. But if one sees such a situation and thinks it may not be legit , a call to 911 would be in order for a kidnapping in progress and let the responding officer(s) sort it out.

This fills me with rage. But what can I or you or anyone that cares do?

Also not sure undocumented immigrants would be incentivized to call 911 unless they’re in a sanctuary city- if it’s a kidnapping plot, but you risk drawing attention to yourself via appealing to local law enforcement, that’s a huge risk. And it’s a choice that has to be made quickly, with potential ICE officers pounding at your door. Possibly wearing clothes that already say “Police.” What do you do? Who do you trust?

It’s why this population is so vulnerable to exploitation and trafficking. Someone highly motivated to stay under the radar is going to opt for self-preservation first.

I doubt that if I were confronted by an armed and masked “ICE agent” or even a real ICE agent that I would be given the courtesy of being allowed a phone call to 911. The real agents from what I have seen in videos behave like thugs. And as thug has more than one meaning, I am using it as a violent or brutish person.

Be vocal. Help get out the vote. If you have an “R” senator or house member, flood them with calls and write letters. Use this and other horrible stories as an example. Quote the Bible. Let them know you will do everything you can to vote them out.

I clicked on these out of curiosity and every one of them showed up on my Amazon page under “keep shopping”. Wonderful.

Weird! They all worked for me.

Well evidently so many here are witnessing these unidentified people snatching people up off the streets and wherever else, they could call and ask for officers to respond. Or maybe they aren’t as outraged as they say. Or maybe they’re just parroting what they’re being fed by the media and have no personal knowledge of any of it.
If I saw something like that and was concerned it may not be legit I would sure call it in.

And yes if someone is pounding at my door hollering about whatever I’m calling that in too .
I’m sure not just opening the door . If I’m expecting law enforcement because I have called them that’s one thing, quite another if I haven’t.

No obviously not. But if you ever see such a thing in person, as opposed to some video, I hope you would call it in if you were concerned it was not legit.

HA. HA. HA. I have Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott

What don’t you get? It happens often. When I was dispatching we did it all the time.

I don’t get you saying to call 911 like it’s an actual option and helpful for someone in that situation. Completely unhelpful.

It can be for those of you who say you’re witnessing this occurring and are so outraged about it.
One option is call it in and have it verified that the person isn’t being kidnapped by the cartel
Or whatever. Option 2 is tsk tsk shake your head mumble something about Trump and ICE wring your hands and carry ok.

Oh, the links worked. And now Amazon thinks I want to buy them.

ICE is NOT COOPERATING with ANYONE. They are not letting congress people into detention centers, they are not identifying themselves, and they are not even keeping those they detain in place and giving them adequate access to hearings or their attorneys. They are being cuffed, taken away, and then “deported” to a country they didn’t even come from. Where would their families or bystanders send the police when they get to where they took the detainee from???

When the NYC Comptroller Brad Lander locked arms with an immigrant and asked for a judicial warrant, they arrested him. You think they’re going to allow a detainee to call 9-1-1 and wait for officers to arrive? Not happening.
