Has anyone tried them? Do you like them? Have you noticed any differences?
I’ve had them for about 4 years now. I love them! My horse also enjoys them:)
I have a pair, got them 3 years ago. I quite like the ice boot part, it makes contact better then most other ice boots I’ve tried.
There is some science behind high frequency low amplitude vibrations for soft tissue. The studies were done in mice but still…
I have use mine once in 4 years
I bought a pair to help with rehab on my mare who took a bad step at a show and stained just about every soft tissue structure in one leg. I think they have speeded her recovery, but obviously there’s no counterfactual.
However, it is definitely the case that they made me feel better and more proactive during rehab! And they cost about the same as one of her shockwave treatments, so I figured even if they have only helped a little bit with the quality of healing or the timeline, it’s worth it for me.
I do not find that they actually cool the leg very much. The ice pack melts pretty quickly, I found that disappointing.
i prefer the ice horse over these. the vibration is sort of a bogus idea. the ice makes a difference and the ice longevity on ice horse is better, IMO
any recommendations for another boot?
do you have a link to them?
Do you use a different brand instead?
For good cooling, I like the Equifit compression ice boots. The packs are softer, so with the compression pump, you can get decent contact with the leg, but it lasts longer than the ice vibe packs.
Not to hijack but does anyone use the incrediwear wraps? Do they actually work for ice boots?
has anyone tried these?

I have the ice boots, I have both the ice vibe inserts and the professional choice ice cells. I use either of those inside. I want the regular old school ice boots for actual coldness and ice therapy. I’ll use the ice vibe for
the vibration qualities but there are better actual icing boots out there.
seems to be my problem…I can’t find ice boots online with good reviews
If you have access to a creek…preferably one fed by run off from the previous winter’s snow pack, and there is a safe place to stand your horse in it so that the injured area is immersed in the fast running cold water, your horse can reap spectacular rehabilitive benefits. Or, you can buy one of those gadgets that can be attached to a horse’s leg, and sold to you at a price equal to or surpassing the tax budgetof a country the size of Switzerland. Take your pick! And the price of the old school low tech option?.. A big fat .Zero! Several years ago, when I still had my farm in Northern California, a client’s horse suffered a high suspensory injury to one of his hind legs. After finishing a course of the usual therapies for such an injury, I spent a month parking him in the creek that bordered our property for twenty minutes a day, three or four times a week, Boring? Yes, but the result was spectacular. The swelling vanished, and the horse became sound. This was ten years ago, but as far as I know, he is still a sound and happy guy. Obviously, this option isn’t available to everyone, but if you do have a horse that has suffered a soft tissue injury to an area of the leg that could be immobilized in the icy current, a wonderful result can occur, the only cost of which is the time paid for someone to strap on their Wellies,or high waders, and hang out with your horse for twenty minutes or so. If your patient is quiet enough, you can even bring a book!
Just FYI - my daughter won a Tough-1 ice boot. It’s sat in the tack room for quite some time, but I pulled it out yesterday to ice my mare. After a couple of hours in the freezer, it was ready to go and the leg felt cold when I was done. I iced her again this morning. Very easy, and I’m sure inexpensive, considering the brand.
I have the cannon wraps for my horse who has healing /old RH suspensory issues. I like that you can use them with or without the ice gel pack. I notice that when he has stocking up or slight swelling the vibration reduces the edema. I tend to use mine going into the colder weather as a warm up for him.
I agree that the ice pack melts too quickly to be effective. Since I needed them for only one knee I actually doubled up the ice pack part on the one knee.
