A machine that automatically untangles and rolls up that lovely ball of polos and standing wraps that comes out of the dryer.
A hose that retracts and puts itself away when I am done with it. Hate rolling up the hose!

These exist! A barn I boarded at had one. It used the water pressure to pull the hose in. Flip one lever and tada, your hose was rolled up nicely in a box.

A horsey pacifier. This is for those that must play with something…the crossties, lead rope, reins, etc. (not a substitute for mouthing on humans…that’s a no no). Just pop it in and have the horse entertain itself while you do whatever you need to (groom, tack up, etc).
Curb chain clipped to cross ties.
For all the warmblood owners, battery operated spurs… I’m kidding… really, I am…

Fly masks and easy boots with a GPS chip, so you can find them in a big field when your horse (inevitably) ditches them. The chip would be reusable and could be attached to a new fly mask or whatever after horsey shredded the original.
You mean there isn’t an app for that?!?!

There is one of these in the Harriet Carter catalog. Not sure how good it is, but it is in there.

A magic wand to get rid of all of the flies.
Maybe the Harry Potter store has one.
Avada Kedavra!
 Thanks!

Tall off the rack (non custom) boots for larger calf sizes that aren’t clunky looking and good quality (can be worn for showing). There are so few options available–I have to order mine from the U.K. I even contemplated starting up a company to sell them but I have no experience in this area.
Devon-Aire makes the Camden field boot in an xx wide. You may have to ask for it, but it is available!

Should have specified dress boots. But even with a few extra models of field boots available (Devon-Aire and Mountain Horse), the pickings are extremely slim.
I want a wormer pill that is like a big lump of sugar. The horse eats it off your had, eliminating that argument I always have worming with a worming tube.
Next I want a product that so completely numbs that a mane can be pulled while the horse stands and looks at me sweetly.

They have horrible reviews on Dover! Bummer, I am not that large but have ginormous calves I guess, wear a 17 in half chaps and don’t have much of a budget.
What I really want are tall boots on a budget for big calves but not necessarily tall or short legs. I also want a saddle that fits my deep shouldered, high withered OTTB that doesn’t cost more than two weeks’ paycheck!
Yeah, I’ve given this a lot of thought.
–A better saddle lock/use deterrent system. Short of investing in one of those racks with a built-in locking mechanism, there’s still not a great way to lock your saddle to prevent unauthorized use by unscrupulous barnmates. I’m thinking something roughly analogous to the shoplifting deterrent devices in clothing stores, but you’d have to find something that didn’t damage the saddle if it deployed. I’m thinking something that locks onto the stirrup bar(s) and makes it impossible to attach stirrups and is bulky enough to deter riding without stirrups.
I’m picturing the cable-and-anchor system that is sold for students to secure their laptops…wonder if it could be adapted so you could run the cable through the saddle gullet tightly enough so it couldn’t be removed.
Also, I thought there was a hay flake dispenser but darn if I know where I saw it.

Yep, kind of like that. I know some folks who make it work with bike locks, either the chain kind or the non chain kind. It seems like it wouldn’t be hard to reimagine a locking, U-shaped bike lock in a saddle-friendly shape.
I like how we all have warm-weather requests. How about some cold weather ones?
I want: Water that doesn’t freeze.
And a wheelbarrow that wheels itself to the manure pile and dumps itself.
OOO and for warm-weather requests: I’d like an air conditioned bubble so I can ride my horse when the temp is 100 and the dew point is 70.
There IS a motorized wheelbarrow that (I assume) dumps itself. Saw them at Equine Affair in Mass 2 yrs ago.
I remember because the salesman was very handsome…
A wireless communications system to use for lessons, sort of like a Comtek or Eartec but without the wire to the earpiece. I would pay a lot for that. DH mentioned something for skiers that might work, but now can’t remember the name.

Use a Bluetooth adapter if the headset plugs in with a regular 1/8th inch plug
I have an idea for a REAL product everyone would love, but I need to talk to a lawyer and get a patent pending before telling anyone about it…

I would also create a new feed scoop. Oh, yeah, we already did! My husband makes them for me, and once someone uses them, it is hard for them to go back to what is on the market.
Pictures of said feed scoop, please!
Some of these ideas are really fun. For those of you who like the small-tined forks but don’t want the basket, you could always take a saw to it and cut it off! Not exactly pretty, but it works.
