Love that video! Thank you!
That’s awesome💗!
He is doing pretty well with just regular trims- I certainly wouldn’t call him riding sound, but he will trot around a little bit in the field and seems happy with his day to day, and I think I’ll take that! No abscesses (knock on wood) since I got him and just started feeding him and got him onto some prascend. Nothing fancy. Great for him but sad that it was such a simple fix and he had to suffer so long.
@Railbird, are the horses still on the property doing OK now that grass is coming in?
I know some boarders stayed and said that skinny was normal.
That’s a perfectly good status quo! Please give him an extra kiss for me/us
He’s very proud of himself!
Wow! He looks amazing!
So shiny!
For the first time that I can remember, my visceral response to photos of a horse glowing with good health was deep anger.
He looks amazing and very happy. Good job helping the horses get out and providing him with good care! Thanks for sharing the updated pics.
I want his before and after photos to be evidence at the trial. This is the difference of four months of adequate care. (@Railbird, I know you’ve provided extraordinary care. I’m referring to the fact that the poor horse just needed basic good care to thrive.)
He may be entered for deep run the weekend prior. We will see if my child cooperates, but a certain commonwealth attorney will be invited
HOLY CRIKEY!!! He looks absolutely STUNNING!!! There aren’t enough Wow!s in the world
Go Poofy!
Love those photos!
Wish I could like that post more than once.
Real tears seeing this.
Ohhh Poofy
He looks amazing! Thank you for sharing.
I was at Deep Run for a friend’s leadline pony, and when I recognized Poofy I figured I could take a couple pictures of him as well. The fact that 4 months of good care produced this big of a change is just proof that all it would have taken to keep him from looking like a skeleton in the first place was simply adequate care. It made me equal parts happy and angry to see how good he looked, similar to a poster above.
Great pics! I especially love the second one. The boy is learning good horsemanship from the start!
