i’m NO EXPERT, but i think they are a little bit longer than normal. He uses them alright so i suppose it’s OK. His sire has long legs so he could very well end up leggy.
Me, i’m short, so tall horses aren’t my thing. But i am old, and don’t think i’ll be keeping this guy once he’s trained and has grown up running and developing on large pasture with a herd (so, say…4 or 5 and gently started) So his forever person may be fine with a tallish horse. It’s probably a good thing.

His cannons are almost as long as they will ever be, so compare to his Momma’s cannons. He does look very leggy, but not distressingly so!

Rizada had her foal last night! No pics yet, will do that soon tho

Rizada had her foal last night. I just got back to the house. I didn’t have my phone. After some coffee and something to eat i’ll go back down and take pix.
I was NOT THERE for it. I slept through my first alarm…and so wasn’t setting subsequent alarms. And then i slept in late. Like 3 hours later than usual. When i went down to the barn at 9 am…there she was. A Big and a Little…at the gate…
Placenta nice looking. And the foal, a filly, is super-charged. So vibrant and so coordinated. 100% Mustang, so… Nursing easily, and a bit shy. Those legs…what BONE! holy cow.

Congrats! Can’t wait for the pics.
I’ll have to just sit in their room with them and feed out treats to Rizada today in order to gain her trust enough to get good pics. Right now she’s upset and that trickles down!!
