I'm on Foal Watch!

i would have a farmfull of Littles if we didn’t have such rich pastures. It’s a bit much for a few of my horses, actually. I have a handful of fatties. I’d have thought the mustangs would obese-out here, but interestingly enough, they just stop eating when they’re full, (much like my mules do) and just hang out in the barn… I think i’d enjoy having burros. But i hear they don’t always control their appetites. And i KNOW ponies and miniture horses would have to live on drylot. And i enjoy having my animals freely roam…

So nice try 2DogsFarm…but i cannot.

I confess, though he does possess 'tude, he’s also proven I won the Mini Lottery more than once.
A reliable Driver for me, though infrequently hitched
A companion for my horse & pony from Day 1.
Horse is unquestioned Boss.
Pony is typical I Hate Everyone Hackney, but though he’ll fake-chase mini (no real contact), they all 3 will share a single 12X12 stall on occasion.
Drylotting mini would make my life complicated, so he’s muzzled from March to October.
Grudgingly accepted (note Stinkeye):
Blaze orange for locating on the rare occasion hhe gets it off :expressionless:

ahhhh, that’s a good solution!

Orange is a great color on him.

Am I the only one who sees a very slight, pony resemblance to Hannibal Lecter?

What you did?
But, I’m no breeder :woman_shrugging:
Did that convince him it wasn’t a good idea?

only time will tell. I’ll probably have to do it again another time or two, but he’ll get the message. They need to learn boundaries. Just like a puppy…

“Oh, you’re giving me your leg? Thank you, I’ve always wanted one of those!”

Nice to see it is way more open then they used to make them ( basket style) looks durable as well. What does the bottom part look like?

Bottom is solid, with openings, less wide than those for the nostrils
It’s a Tough-1 Breathe Easy model.
What wears out is the slotted opening in the end. That gets rubbed wider until it’s more a Suggestion than a Limiting Factor
I saw one that had a metal grommet on the opening & might try that next.

Hazel and Ros are growing up. I can hardly call them foals any longer.

Ah, in my terminology, they are leaving the “Gumby” stage and entering the “Pokey” stage.

They’re growing so fast! They look super happy.
