Is there such a thing as a flattering pair of flannel-lined women's jeans?

Because I’m sick of being cold, but I’m also curvy and vain, and also I prefer my jeans not to try so hard to fall off over my butt that they bend my belts. Oh, and I also ride in these things, so it’s nice if they’re not so baggy that I can’t get my chaps on over them.

Thanks in advance for suggestions of where to look for this mythical creature.

I haven’t shopped there in years, but Eddie Bauer made attractive, flannel-lined jeans.

I’d probably go LL Bean, but I have no idea if it would be flattering. I probably wouldn’t care. I’d be warm!

If you’re going to ride in them, I might go with a pair of those windpro breeches. They seem very warm and good at shedding debris.

nylons or leggings under jeans can work/help…

LL Bean has flannel-lined jeans with an elastic waistband   :love-struck:

I’d say you’re more likely to find a flattering pair of flannel lined jeans than a flattering pair of carhartts

Sadly, no.

I think someone tried once.

Other option is a comfy pair of long johns underneath, which is what I ended up choosing to do as a more versatile arrangement.

I actually really like the cabelas brand

When I worked in the barn in winter I would wear a pair of breeches/riding tights under a regular pair of jeans.

Under Armour long underwear or fleece running tights.

I used to know someone who would ride in Carhartt quilted overalls.

Duluth Trading has ‘Asset Management’ flannel lined jeans. Very nice.
Item # 21207, $59.50.

I second Eddie Bauer.

LL Bean. They have two. I think the one with brown lining has a higher rise.

I’m going to vote no, although the Eddie Bauer links posted above look a bit more promising.

I have LL Bean flannel lined jeans. They’re absolutely hideous on my small frame. I would much rather look frumpy than be cold though! Take your pick - fashion or warmth. I’m all about warmth.

Be careful with the Eddie Bauer ones as some are a true flannel lining, where some are just brushed on the inside to feel flannel-y but don’t really add warmth. Of the links posted previously, the second one is the brushed stuff, which is useless as far as I’m concerned.

I have some Carhartt flannel lined jeans that aren’t too bad, really. The sizing on them can be ridiculously odd, however, so best to buy in person rather than order online, IME.

I have LL Bean jeans that I really like, and would check out their flannel lined ones if I were shopping for any. But since I have the Carhartts, I’m set for awhile as those last forever!

I wear regular leggings or spandex tights under my pants (jeans and work slacks) and it works great! It also gives me one less excuse about skipping the gym since I’m already half dressed (I wear workout tops and bottoms under my clothes in the winter).

fleece lined tights under my “fat” jeans.Works like a charm

Really, you’re best off adding a separate layer, either thermals, Under Armor, fleece tights, etc.

And really cotton (the fiber flannel is made from) is one of the worst materials for insulation. It does not insulate when wet, does not wick moisture, and dries slowly. There is a saying among outdoorsmen, cotton kills (someone exerts themselves wearing cotton clothing, gets them wet from sweat, that sweat does not dry, the clothes no longer insulate, and the person can succumb to hypothermia). Synthetics and wool are much better at keeping you warm http://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advice/underwear.html;jsessionid=l+BysUjltBzkjHGOuk1psawt?avad=3816_f54d7d1d&cm_mmc=aff_AL--3184--3816-_-ale&avad=3816_f54d7d1d&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.rei.com%2Fexpertadvice%2Farticles%2Funderwear.html%3
