I’ve never sent a saddle “back”, but I’ve never sent a saddle not insured either, that would be crazy imo, too many things can happen to it too easily…

Yes, buck22, I do insure them (that’s why it cost so much to try saddles!) but it sounded like maybe I didn’t need to.
Only ordering from verified tack stores, etc. Not ebay stuff.
Okay, I don’t feel as bad (except for all the money I’ve spent!) - I better read this whole thread and see where I can actually SAVE some $$$

I can’t imagine trading a saddle for a horse…It makes we wonder why must she unload him? What’s wrong with him?
I have two nice saddles…maybe one could cover shipping and one cover his price tag…:winkgrin:

Didn’t seem off to me, but maybe I need to look again. She says he’s sound, but one would do a PPPE. I don’t know what the circumstances are as to why she is selling. I just like the horse and hope he gets a great home. You should call or email her with your questions.

I finally broke down and bought some “Himalayan salt” from SmartPak - and my horses immediately started using them, have not quit, and drink much more water in their stalls overnight.
And then I found virtually the same thing on Ebay - and it works out to about HALF what I paid on SmartPak. It’s 24 lbs (6 ‘spools’) so those with just one horse may want to go in with someone, but $51 including shipping! I bought some in Feb and they are bigger than the ones I got from SmartPak. The seller shipped very promptly.

This fancy little pony kept popping up on craigslist for $900, now she’s threatening to take him to a yucky auction on Saturday, where she won’t get anything for him. If I had a good kid rider, I’d snatch him up…Doesn’t anyone NEED a pretty little hunter pony, I think she’d take a cheap offer!
