I want this guy, but he is too far away and I DON"T need another horse. He is a Stilleto son out of a Salon grand daughter. Price is $ 1,500 or trade for a dressage saddle. They have a video of him on youtube too. Let me know if you need the link.He is 2 yrs old. Check him out ! Someone needs to buy him :

Oh he is nice and very far away!! Where does it say trade for a dressage saddle…? I have a few…LOL!
Shipping would be outrageous. He is a 6 in temperament…hmm again… I’d look at the vid link.

I’ve never sent a saddle “back”, but I’ve never sent a saddle not insured either, that would be crazy imo, too many things can happen to it too easily…

I insure everything.

The ad doesn’t say, but that is what I was told. I’ve been naughty and got in touch with the seller  I told her I’d spread the word

Yes, buck22, I do insure them (that’s why it cost so much to try saddles!) but it sounded like maybe I didn’t need to.

Only ordering from verified tack stores, etc. Not ebay stuff.

Okay, I don’t feel as bad (except for all the money I’ve spent!) - I better read this whole thread and see where I can actually SAVE some $$$

I can’t imagine trading a saddle for a horse…It makes we wonder why must she unload him? What’s wrong with him?
I have two nice saddles…maybe one could cover shipping and one cover his price tag…
He is cute but the videographer was moving so much it was hard to see him. To me he may have seemed a tad off?

Didn’t seem off to me, but maybe I need to look again. She says he’s sound, but one would do a PPPE. I don’t know what the circumstances are as to why she is selling. I just like the horse and hope he gets a great home. You should call or email her with your questions.

[QUOTE=cyndi;4781118]
OK, when I first heard about “Himalayan Salt Blocks” I almost snorted tea through my nose, thinking “oh, boy, what a gimmick.” Then a friend got them for her horses and reported they were consuming more salt. We live on the hot, humid Texas Gulf Coast. Last summer was especially bad. My horses did not TOUCH their salt blocks - either white or mineral. I supplemented electrolytes all summer. I finally broke down and bought some “Himalayan salt” from SmartPak - and my horses immediately started using them, have not quit, and drink much more water in their stalls overnight.

And then I found virtually the same thing on Ebay - and it works out to about HALF what I paid on SmartPak. It’s 24 lbs (6 ‘spools’) so those with just one horse may want to go in with someone, but $51 including shipping! I bought some in Feb and they are bigger than the ones I got from SmartPak. The seller shipped very promptly.

Here’s a link:

I just ordered some because of this post. I really hope thye are everything they are supposed to be. I wonder if my horses will love them… if not, it will be a steal of a deal on ebay again when I resell the non-used ones
I’ll let you know when they arrive what the horses think.

I think I got the deal of a lifetime- I got a 25 year old Max Hopfner saddle in very nice condition for $225.00. Who’da thunk I’ve wanted a Hopfner for years?

http://www.horseloverz.com/search.php?si=&ss=himalayan+salt+block

I bought the himalayan salt blocks in horseloverz–MUCH cheaper. 4 lb. rock $5. Of course, once you start looking around, you’ll find way more to buy.

This fancy little pony kept popping up on craigslist for $900, now she’s threatening to take him to a yucky auction on Saturday, where she won’t get anything for him. If I had a good kid rider, I’d snatch him up…Doesn’t anyone NEED a pretty little hunter pony, I think she’d take a cheap offer!

Oh, he is just lovely to look at! Good thing he is across the country from me (and I have no room anyway…).

I wonder if a thread on H/J would help find him a home. He definitely looks hunter-y.
