Yeah? Maybe you know more than I do, they look the same to me, which is good because the vet said they’d look worse first with the reabsorption of some of the boney matter. But yay for thinking positive!!

I went back and studied them again and I still think it looks better. But more used to reading people x-rays than equine ones. So I will continue to send positive energy.
I imagine bone is bone (unless it’s cat bone; you can put two cat bones in two different corners of a room and they will find each other and fuse), so yay :).
Another update and more pictures.
I haven’t been to the barn in a few days to see Odie :(. I pulled two extra shifts last week at work, so DH went out and saw him and even blanketed him because it’s starting to get chilly here.
Then I didn’t see him yesterday because DH was transported via ambulance for chest pains… He’s fine (maybe?) but I am about to lose my mind. Of course Rory pulled a shoe yesterday too AND it looks like Nika kicked herself on the cannon bone :rolleyes: C’mon!
So I went to see Odie today after playing with the big ponies.
His stall was TRASHED! :lol: His grain tub was upside, he had pulled the hay tub into the middle of the stall, there was crap EVERYWHERE :lol: and he was very happy to be let out of the stall. No one else lets him out to wander in the barn. So he got to wander around, supervise the mucking, and then come back into his nice clean stall. I had brought his Jolly Ball over last week, which may be what has caused the sudden thrashing of the stall.
Also, I pulled the elaskadon down and gave his cannon a good scritchin, which judging by his twitchy little muzzle felt goooooood. Attitude is fine, legs are both cold and tight and you can see by his blanket that he’s still taking a load off.
I love this picture. He’s like, I don’t want this healthy crap, gimmie the cookies, lady!

Odie is sooo incredibly cute carrying his Jolly Ball around! Love it! But so sorry to hear about your husband… jingling for him. I hope he really is fine by now.

I have no idea how I missed this. Odie is one of my most favorite BB creatures ever.
I agree with Hazel, I thought the films looked better too. Maybe that absorption has already happened? Who knows, but to my eye, there seemed a pretty good improvement.
So glad he’s staying cheery and donkey-y and resting his other legs. And so very glad he’s got you as a mom.
Hope the Mr.Jenners thing is no biggie, and that things start to settle and you can get some rest. I feel for ya. Get some rest when you are able. Thanks for all the pictures of the evil one. He’s such a doll. But you know that. :winkgrin:

Ok, I won’t post pics of Rory from this year then ;-). Compared to this year, that Rory is a puny wimp.

New to this thread and wanted to wish you and Odie the best.
I’m just a small animal vet, but if he was my Donk I would be very happy with that second X-ray. I hope I am right.
