There was a written lease agreement, which seems to be the reason why the court supported returning the horse to his owners when it was over. And I’m not sure how owners paying $13K a month to someone makes it a lease on the part of the person receiving money anyway. That just seems like paid training to me.

What a NICE horse!!
I will say I did find her blathering rather amusing. Did anyone notice that her timeline of events seemed to jump around all the place? I don’t think it’s her non-use of a spur that has alienated her “peers”… .just sayin. I’d also venture to say if GM or Chris Kappler remember her at all it wouldn’t be because she wouldn’t wear a spur… Sheesh.

He was certainly a lovely stallion. According to the information on the Huntington farm site, he’s been gelded and the remaining frozen is in dispute. Seems like AH kept two intact colts… But one is out of an Akhal Teke cross mare? What a weird cross.

@LtComJoAnne - that’s great to hear. Older stallions don’t always get lovely retirements like that… Sounds like more evidence of his wonderful temperament. Plus, gelding at an old age is often hard on them and not uncomplicated.
It seems like AH has a serious problem with telling the truth. The lawsuit, blog, and frankly much of her website and claims about different BNTs, etc come across as “off.” More so than normal horse person “off”… Extra extra off! I hope if there really are two intact young stallion sons of Cradilo still in her care, they are doing alright… I’m not sure the world needs a whole bunch of ID x Akal Teke x “Something else” foals produced from this person’s “breeding program.”

Don’t call her bipolar, the mods will delete your posts. Happened to me when I called someone cry on the 50 threads in the dressage forum…we can not assume that they have a mental disorder. Well, we can we can’t talk about it

Because I have been sick in bed today and bored, I went searching for pictures of one of these Irish x Akhal Teke crosses. I was curious about how that conformation might turn out… it’s a hard cross for me to wrap my head around. I have a friend who has a Polish Arab x Irish Draught mare who is LOVELY… but the cross was reversed with the Arab stallion being used on the ID mare.
For anyone else who’s curious, here’s video of Ace of Hearts… One of the Cradilo sons who is still intact. Looks like his front end, chest, shoulder and neck are more Akhal Teke than Irish… It looks like Mom was the dominant influence…
