Jumper Conspiracy?

I was thinking the same! Puts a whole new spin on “jumps whatever is in front of him.”

Someone posted a photo of the stallion on Facebook recently, so I think he is still around. Can anyone confirm? He looks to be a lovely, lovely boy. Just how I like them, big and chunky and honest.

I bit early this morning and tried to read her blog with a cup of coffee. I got through 3 cups before I gave up.

One of the most ironic/funny parts was her admission that George Morris accused her of having an emotional complex during a clinic… understatement

He’d be 24 now, so while possibly alive, probably unlikely to be breeding or have anything on the ground recently since he went back to his owner in 2013.

Ladd Brook was near here so there were a number of offspring around - horses with the LBF prefix in particular. Ariel Grald’s LBF O’Leagh’s Image went 2*, I believe.

Wasn’t the plan all along to buy him and then sell him almost immediately, loss or not, due to some random reason that escapes me now (an international trip? A surgery? College? I can’t remember)

My eyes started crossing at paragraph 21. Good lord that’s a lot of words. What a story. I can’t imagine it’s going to be good for business.

As an FYI and as a casual bystander I can say that a lot of this commentary is interesting and divergent from fact. Amy references Deluca Ace (aka Momma Ace) and that she bred this mare. In fact the mare was bred by Jack Donoughe and then sold to a friend of Amy’s as a filly and then years later sold to Amy. She has also referenced Oleagh’s Image and that she said she had, “something to do with this” as Ariel Grauld has been successful in eventing the mare. In fact Amy has never met the mare or Ariel nor did she breed her. Additionally, Nanci Lindroth and Kevin Babbington did the bulk of Cradilo’s training. He was then sent to Amy for breeding as he had the roaring issue and subsequent surgery to correct, so his owners decided to not show him professionally and put him out to stud full time with Amy. While Amy states he was in poor health and she saved his life, that was not the case. He was in perfect health when sent to her and as a matter of fact she was showing him at 4 feet within six weeks of him arriving to her farm and after begging his owners to allow her to show him in small jumper shows. They acquiesced with the caveat that as a long as he remained healthy and happy doing it it was ok. Unfortunately Amy only rode him enough to get him to a show and so fitness was an ongoing issue. What transpired from there is a legal matter and while Ms. Hunter’s version does not coincide with the legal facts, that is up to others to decide. Her writings and ongoing legal and financial troubles, as she referenced, certainly point to a lack of conspiracy and that possibly her actions have lead to her woes. To respond to a few comments regarding Cradilo, he has always been and remains an extremely talented and well mannered stallion. He is truly lovely.

I wonder why the Turkish Minister of Finance couldn’t help her out of this one.

That horse is a saint over fences. I’m not knocking her ability, because she is clearly a more capable rider than myself. But several times he uses his scope and reach to bail her out of a less-than-perfect spot. He is textbook “ammy-friendly” from that standpoint. Anyone know if he is still available fresh? http://www.irishdraught.com/horses/p…php?unid=1848

A cursory search turned up more evidence he has the brain of a lifetime:https://www.facebook.com/12478714421…type=3&theater

Yowza, not my first fencing choice for a Grand Prix breeding stallion visiting a new location.

I have read most of this. All I can say is that I really hope this works in reverse! I ran into GM at Omaha during World Cup this spring and for reasons I can not even fathom he grabbed my hand and shook it (while he was seated in the stands as I was walking by, I’d paused to let another person pass) and thanked me profusely for being able to come. And how lovely it was to see me.

Blink Blink

So I did the only thing I could think to do and I thanked him for everything he’s done for our sport and hoped that he was enjoying the show. And then I walked away confused as hell but kind of thrilled. In a "Yea I know he didn’t know me but boy that was kind of cool’ way.

You made it that far?
Tiny serif type reversed out of a dark, uneven background is bad enough, but "power of the pen verses (sic) the sword" in the first sentence made me click out of there. No sense in getting annoyed while ruining my eyesight.

@Somantu Right? The first sentence made me question her journalistic background. Honestly, the poor quality of the web-page made me think it was some kind of weird teenager “fantasy barn” thing… but then I googled…

I thought that she had the money to have a horse for 1 year? And instead of just buying a less expensive horse to keep for longer, just leasing, or any number of options, she got one out of her budget that she couldn’t afford to keep. That sounds familiar, maybe?

Maybe I read it wrong, but it looked like she insinuated that Cadilo is dead, and that he immediately stopped producing semen at age 19 when he left her care. WTF. Who knows, that was all so hard to follow.

She did say that there is some frozen semen, but that she’s in a legal dispute over who owns it.

What a horse!
I’m glad to hear he is well and happy.

He looked so patient, such a good sport in the video where he ends up jumping out of the ring into a tent. He only seems to have jumped out of the ring because he was presented to the rail by the rider and he kindly obliged. What a sweetheart.

I did not read all of the articles or look at the video, but I did read the newspaper article about her rehabbing the stud and showing him and then losing him to the original owners. I did feel sorry that she lost custody of the stud, but as stated in the article, she should have gotten a written and signed bill of lease or sale at the start. Maybe I won’t feel sorry for her after I read everything else and watch the videos. It does seem that she did a very good job in rehabbing the stallion.

Without a transcript of the trial or hearing, I don’t know both sides of what was told to the judge about the condition of the stud when Hunter first got him. Maybe there are some quotes in the court’s decision.

I went back and reread the threads by@huntr_eq_blondewho later morphed into
@bringing_up_baby. Looking on her FB page, she sold Easy Boy in May this year.

Well Chicago horse world, most of you managed to slander my name and play a twisted game of “Telephone” without actually hearing the true story from the source and never giving me a chance to explain or believing me. Now forced to sell my first horse…thanks for killing the only happiness a chronically ill girl had.
