justriding.com? Anyone shopped here?

I’m getting mixed reviews off the internet.
Anyone shopped here, and received their purchases?

I ordered a coat last week and it’s on the way and I have a tracking number. They have been very quick to respond to questions about products and good at providing shipping info. I paid through Paypal so I’m not worried.

Gulp…yes. I ordered an Animo jacket after they had their major meltdown on here - I just couldn’t resist the cheap prices. The jacket arrived on time, looks great, and I love it. Just one snag - I ended up having to pay ~$100 in customs fees :(. The jacket was still about $100 less than in stores in Canada with that, but a bit sucky that it wasn’t as cheap as I originally thought.

ETA: If it wasn’t already clear, the jacket was shipped Europe --> Canada. From my very basic understanding of customs fees, it’s not a guarantee that you will be assessed with further charges, but it does sometimes happen, as it did in my case.

I smell another major meltdown coming.

Bit of a hijack here, but I have noticed that as well! I have ordered from Calevo several times now, and have been charged customs and/or brokerage every time (yay DHL! Really wish there was another shipping option, they are AWFUL) except this last time. I really wish it was clearer when you do/don’t get charged customs as that would dictate when/what I buy from Europe.

How do they assess the customs charges? Do you pay DHL when they deliver it to you? I’m curious as I’m expecting a package anyday now. However, I am in the USA not Canada if it makes any difference.

I received a notice in the mail from the shipping company that included the Canada Customs reference numbers and stuff. I paid the shipper directly. The notice came weeks after I’d already received and worn the jacket. I’ve bought other horse things in a similar price range from Europe though, and no customs charge. /shrug

Also, when I bought the coat, justriding.com was adamant that I share my experiences on COTH (they didn’t know that I’m already a poster here). Guess they were trying desperately to repair their image here, via myself and other buyers. Hope this thread is sufficient feedback for them!

Thank you so much! Makes me feel much better, was looking into getting some animo breeches and a new helmet, and I wasn’t so sure. Now I’m totally confident that I’ll receive my package, and hopefully I won’t get stuck with customs, if so, oh well I guess.

I guess behaving properly to begin with was too much to ask?

And let me say “welcome” to a slew of new posters.

As far as I know, hunterboulevard is not associated with justriding - We’ve followed eachother on Youtube for awhile and she shows in the same area as me. Not sure about the mwilliams person.

Don’t worry. I am sure some houseguests will short up shortly.

Man, again???

If you’d declined to share your experiences, what were they going to do? Send the repo man for your coat?

There’s a certain brand of boot one doesn’t dare mention on COTH. . . .

Tack on another import fee?

I’m sorry, but what exactly are you trying to imply?
I don’t believe at all, I or anyone else on this thread behaved poorly at all. I asked a question, they replied what I would assume is truthful.
Goodlife is being honest, we have been following eachother on youtube for years, and show the same circuit.

You are new to the board. But for the past 6 months or so, someone from justriding has repeatedly started a thread pretending to be an innocent customer with a question about their website. Then, justriding creates some additional new identities to answer the thread and brag about how great the company is. In essence a bunch of advertising and deceptive practices (pretending to be a customer when they’re not) on an EPIC EPIC level. I mean, I have never seen any company stoop to these kind of tactics. The threads were closed again and again and again and AGAIN and they just wouldn’t stop.

mwilliams0326 is exactly the type of post justriding would do when they would pretend to be a customer.

Do a search for “parlanti” or “just riding” and find literally a dozen or more threads that had to get closed for the SAME.BS.

I would be pretty nervous about giving my personal and credit card info to a company so dishonest.

Here are some of those threads…

I know I’d think long and very hard before giving my credit card info to a company that behaved this way. They’d have to have pretty much the last sandwich on earth

woah, honestly had no clue. Was really just searching animo breeches for sale and that was one of the sites that popped up - and it had the cheapest prices
Maybe I’ll rethink that.

No harm no foul. You ARE a random customer. Sadly, justriding has impersonated so many of those that anyone new who posts anything about the company (like MsWillie) is going to be suspicious. Their behavior is so atrociously bad. There’s no breeches I want that bad! YMMV.
