justriding.com? Anyone shopped here?

If an item is marked as a “gift” there usually isn’t a customs fee

Yeah, the company is definitely sketchy. I never gave them the rave reviews they so begged me to on here - this is my first time posting about my experience so maybe that is why I got the extra customs fee. Hahaha. But bottom line, they were quick to ship, item came as described and I saved money. I’m a bit more liberal than some when it comes to online shopping, so I definitely wouldn’t say that using just riding is for the faint of heart.

Sorry guys…I’m just a dressage rider in Georgia who wanted an Animo coat at a good price. I’d be happy to do whatever you deem worthy to prove my identity. I have nothing to hide. Maybe I can take a picture of myself with a local newspaper and post it! My name is Michelle J. Williams. If you like you can enter my name on Centerline scores and see my entire show record with my horse A Cash Vantage. As you will see, we’ve done ok but it’s not a show record anyone would impersonate. LOL! I came on here to research the company that’s why my user account is new. I’m sure my IP address shows me to be right here in the South.

Now you have all the research you need to know they’re scam artists and shucksters.

In other news… didn’t know Animo even MADE dressage coats and surprised to hear that’s a trend for dressage.

Where do you ride in GA? I lived in Atlanta for years. I think you’re being way too humble about your show record. PSG on a QH you made up yourself is pretty impressive!

Wait, you’re researching a company AFTER you placed an order? That seems a little odd to me.

Yes they make beautiful tailcoats. I bought the Liberal this past year and have been wearing it and just love it. Dressage attire has really changed since they started requiring us to wear helmets (thank god!) folks are finally realizing that the old tailcaots and frocks are just too dated looking. I actually live in a small town north of Atlanta called Ball Ground which is near Canton. I currently ride with Kim Schisler out of Yellow House Farm. Who did you ride with in Atlanta? I know most of the hunter trainers down here too.

John Abbott, who is now in Aiken.

Is that Fortitude Farm? I knew Carolyn pretty well.

Yes, Carolyn manages her business there at Yellow House too. When I rode the hunters Carolyn was actually my coach when she first turned pro and was riding with Jill Mills at Windcrest Farms at the time. She has started nearly every young horse I have ever purchased and actually showed my current horse in the hunters before we made the switch to dressage. Yellow House is huge so there are a mix of dressage riders that board there and we have our trainers come in to teach, but the bulk of the barn is Carolyn’s business. We may know each other!

Thanks for the compliment. I meant just that my scores are well…not super high. It took us FOREVER to get our silver medal…I felt like I was going to be in the 50’s permanently. It’s not easy being on a little QH up against huge expensive warmbloods but we have just kept grinding it out. I wish I could figure out how to post a picture of him on here (in our Animo coat), but I’m too green. :stuck_out_tongue:

You can’t post a picture unless you are a premium member. However, you can post a link to a photo-sharing site such as flickr or photobucket.

A legit business should not (would not) do so.

This is justriding we’re talking about

Animo Liberal Tailcoat I was talking about below. Dressage attire is changing dramatically with the rule changes allowing color and the helmet rule. I do miss my top hat a little. :frowning:

Love your horse!

So M Williams you had a good experience with this website then? as did goodlife… right?? I’m confused. :-/ (Also love your Horse)

Another newb?!

Yes, I am new. Are you the “Newb” police? lol sorry I couldn’t resist that. I just looked back on this thread and read you accusing someone of not being who they said they were and then it turned out they were a medal winning dressage rider… doh!

I’m just thinking of buying some bits from the previously mentioned site so came on here to get a heads up.

I ordered boots from them and am unfortunately the originator of their behavior on this board.

For clarity’s sake, I DID get my boots, they ARE what I ordered.

However, I had to chase them for a tracking number, they told me my item had shipped multiple times when it hadn’t, gave me the wrong tracking number twice, and when I pointed this out on here, subjected me to an extreme amount of abuse including threats of legal action against me.

Most posters here, who saw this all go down, will not recommend anyone buy from them.

I’m choosing to take you seriously but almost every time someone has come on here using language like yours, it has been a representative from JustRiding and they don’t like the response they get, which is that they are a crappy retailer.

What is so fascinating about this thread, out of all the pages in the universe of the internet (or even the 5+ threads about justriding on the hunter/jumper board alone) that makes this so interesting to new posters?! I mean, this had fallen off the first page weeks ago. One would have to search to find it. I find it super unusual that this of all threads would be the one to draw our so many new posters. Especially dressage enthusiasts?! You’d expect dressage riders to start with the dressage board, not the H/J board?!

If someone could bottle whatever it is about this thread that is so attractive, they’d have the key to internet marketing success!!

So, to answer your question (and resolve your confusion) dressagedreamer. It appears Mwilliams was happy although she had not actually recieved her order yet, just the tracking number. Goodlife had a mixed bag-- she got the item quickly but had to pay extra fees and was goaded by the company to post a positive review. Soloudinhere was basically completely abused by the company. Numerous threasd by the company on this board indicate they are flaming a-holes. Does that resolve your confusion?

The other things that’s so weird is not only that justriding threads attract new posters-- but it then kills their posting entirely. The new posters never really poste again on other threads. That’s weird behavior. Usually new posters start on more general interest threads, or threads on the first page, or threads in the board of their discipline… and then go on to post on other topics. Justriding seems to encourage a lot of posters who ONLY want to talk about justriding. Ever.

oi vey

Also don’t forget the fact that they gave out your information to me via PM when they were accusing me of “slander” because I asked questions about your experience.
