All the talk here seems to suggest that Farmer got away with a very light penalty. What could possibly have been the argument for CAS to justify lifting the suspension temporarily pending further review? Or was this for the previous 18 month suspension?
It sounds like itâs related to the previous 18 month suspension. The newer one was not scheduled to start for another year.

What an embarrassment. And the sad thing is, itâs going to be business as usual at the ring. Horse showing is a den of thieves.

The Chronicle story fails to explain why the USEF went to arbitration at all. Itâs not in the USEF Rulebook. Were they forced into it by the USOC?
Arbitrators have to have some âlawâ to interpret and apply, and itâs not easy to get one unless there is a contract somewhere that calls for the parties to arbitrate disputes.

What if a well known equestrian magazine printed USEFâs suspension list once a month ? Then everyone could read it and have access to the info.
Doing so would also balance out the coverage of trainersâ show ring success (such as Ms Farmerâs) with the other side of their careers.

DISGUSTING
The suspension list used to be printed in the USEFâs monthly magazine, along with the recent results of disciplinary hearings. The information moved from the magazine to the website some years back.
Must have gotten too expensive to print and ship.
