Sinead said he fell off 7 times before the Aiken showcase with Luke lol

They said earlier that Luke dumped Boyd 7 times before March this year while getting back into work.

It’s gone now. I think they’re required to initially put the flag penalty on, then review takes it off.

Startbox scores haven’t been fully accurate-it should say Eliminated if they fall (as Olivia Dutton’s says in the 4*) but commentators also seem to not be able to see the live scores very well so not sure.

I know he has always had great hopes for Luke but he has had a lot of trouble over the years. He is clearly talented…

I almost wish the commentators would hold their remarks in some of these situations instead of chuckling and saying they can’t keep up with the live scoring.

He gave Boyd and Phillip Dutton both concussions in the span of about a week a few years ago.

Maybe he’d like my gelding then. Bravest, best horse in xc but such a twat sometimes lol.

Holy flier there for Catherine. She and the horse managed it beautifully, but my eyes about popped out of my head for a second there.

Libussa’s mare is missing LF shoe, I just saw when she came home. I loved her interview and dressage yesterday. Excited to see that pair develop.

I love the commeraderie between all of them, and pulling for all the riders from overseas.

Agreed!

What a gallop stride on Artist but I was a bit worried about getting him back for the next fence. Looks quite adjustable though!

I just love watching a Thoroughbred gallop. Artist is a favorite. He definitely looks like a more rateable TB

Tim is listed as finished but cricket score of penalties, so he will probably have to argue his case.

The best place on earth is the riders tent at XC finish. Every single rider, coach, owner, and groom is genuinely supporting and rooting for each competitor on course. Clucking, shouting Go On!, gasps, holding breath, encouraging, and the sincere feeling of disappointment when someone has trouble. Because we literally all have been there, and know how it feels. Pure horsemanship and sportsmanship at its best, doesn’t matter what country you’re from, what place you’re in, if you’re a “somebody” or a nobody…everyone in the tent is cheering for you and riding with you. I wish there was a camera in the tent to show rider reactions, it’s the place to be.
