Kentucky 2025

@EventerMom2008
Every year there is a thread for selling tickets.

Thank you so much!!

Disappointed not to be attending this year especially because my girls need new halters and there always seems to be a great assortment! I’m picky so don’t always like to buy online

Okay peeps, bumping this up because we are 12 DAYS OUT!! Who else is getting hype?? I just did my first round of snack/supply shopping today for our trip :star_struck:

I keep checking the website for the maps of the different shopping areas, they are not posted yet.

I’m excited, it will be my first time volunteering & I received my volunteer ticket & parking pass in the mail earlier this week, so made it real that it is coming up!

Started planning around course walks I am aware of & the different demos in the area for our Thursday/Friday plans. It is almost here!

I’ve been checking too, they should be up soon. Behind the Barn also started again on YT for anyone who watches that.

So funny you said this. I’m returning with best friend who went 24 years ago with me!

Draw order is live for 4* & 5*.

With multiple horses entered across both divisions, I am generally freaking out every day while making sure the horses can’t feel the vibes :joy: I packed a week ago so we are good to go but the stress is still there!

I can’t even imagine the logistics/planning/packing involved for competing at something of this scale. It’s a production for little nobody me to pack for a one day HT

Maps are posted of the sponsor village & the hill. Should mean the trade fair will also be posted soon?

(if anyone is ready to start planning their shopping…)

Do you have to attend a formal course walk? Or is xc open for walking on Thurs or Fri?

It is open for walking, you must stay outside the ropes no matter if you are walking yourself or if you are on a formal course walk. Saturday after XC is done, you can walk any of the lines or up the the fences that you want, but until XC is run, you must stay outside the ropes.

I enjoy the formal course walks because they can better explain questions or things to consider, which you may not be able to see from outside the ropes. The people leading the walks have the right credentials to walk on the actual course.

Where can I find a copy of the 4 and 5 star dressage test. Have looked all over the website and I can’t seem to find it ?

Test C for both according to omnibus

We haven’t quite decided what we will do on Thursday. If we decide to watch dressage, will we be able to buy tickets day of?

Oh yeah you’ll have no problem getting seat tickets for dressage the day of. They have volunteers with laptops inside the stadium where you can buy tickets, including tickets for 2026.

HARD to decide whether you sit still in a seat or you move around!

I’m too curious to sit too long. I motor around and stop to catch a few rides on the videotrons, one is in the covered arena shopping. Then I catch what rides I’d like to view in detail on the tapes after the weekend. I also like to watch the warm-ups - dressage and sj. Those are the things I can’t revisit.

Friday the husbands will be playing golf - us wives (two of us) are hoping to avoid driving into the park. Anyone have any insight how plentiful Ubers are from Georgetown to the horse park? They have an early tee time so the thought would be get dropped off at a restaurant for breakfast then uber to the park. Or do we just bite the bullet and drive in ourselves?
