I’m laughing pretty hard at the announcer with the Phantom of the Opera joke.
Isn’t that the horse that went down onto his knees after a bit of a belly flop at the triple bar going uphill yesterday? It’s sort of a miracle that he came through that unscathed.

I had a similar thought.
I have to say that Boyd looked quite sound for somebody who went around that course three times yesterday.
Extra remarkable considering that he could hardly walk after having a bunch of vet work done on himself at the start of the winter. I saw him at a clinic, and he was really hobbling around at that time. I think that was only about five months ago now.

Having watched the video of that, it’s not a good look for eventing that the horse was allowed to continue. Even if it didn’t technically meet the criteria for a fall.
