Kentucky Three Day Event 2024

Last year she lost a boot around the last few jumps and was leaping around. The last jump was in the direction of the chute and she galloped out of the ring bucking with Rowan on board. Much less scary than this year obviously but strange something happened two years in a row. (I’m not saying something weird is going on with the horse/tack that should be investigated further, but if it was my horse I might not bring it back here because of my own tendency toward superstition.)

Maybe it’s just the camera angle, but Commando 3 looks super narrow.

Was Bruno held? I didn’t hear them announce anything after he trotted away.

Lots of Cooley horses. Is Cooley the breeder’s prefix, like a kennel name?

What is the pedigree for Boyd’s second horse? The one with the big blaze?

They source a lot of top level horses. A little breeding but mostly sourced.

I am glad Corture was accepted, but I did notice that Briggs held him very short. Everyone else was on very long rein.

I was glad as well. Very cool pony mare!

I missed this part. What happened this year?

Everyone accepted in the 4*!

I’m curious to see how Christopher Wahler’s horse is feeling this morning after they practically climbed over the corner at the head of the lake.

The mare refused a jump, Rowan fell off, and the bridle got tangled in her legs. She ran around in a blind panic and ran over one of the jump crew who had to be removed by the EMTs. Then jumped the fence behind the gate to the warmup and ran into the warmup. It was honestly an embarrassing spectacle and I think it was managed poorly.

Thanks. Was he accepted? My feed froze for a few seconds.

Yes, I believe everyone was accepted for the 4*

What do you think was handled poorly?

mine didnt freeze, but there was no audio for Federman’s result, or the introduction of the next horse. Everything else has gone swimmingly though. It is the best trot up that I have seen. No scrambling to find it, Cameras in the right place, and an announcer that can be heard. But it would be better if there was no echo, but all in all, quite nicely done.

More like a consigning name, most are from many different breeders in Europe. But they are all source by that farm

Just what I said above, about making a spectacle of taking care of the injured man and not trying to protect his privacy more. There was nothing else that could be done about the mare.

the tentative schedule shows the 5* show jumping being split into two parts. i hope that is not the case with only 25 horses.

I understand the breaks allow people to hit the vendor booths, but there is already a break with the 4* being split into top and bottom 20, then a lunch break.
