Good point. Who doesn’t spend absurd amounts of money to own a horse? I do.
Who cares. Like already mentioned that’s pocket change for them. They can do whatever they want with their money. Don’t get me wrong, I think the family is well nevermind. I just don’t see why people are obsessed with them and what they do.
Maybe she was browsing Youtube and kid said Iwannit Iwannit ! https://youtu.be/QNOPrO7t26Q
He’s the most famous pony because they have been marketing him for at least 5 years.
Seller’s website; https://www.stalwilten.com/hunter-ju…rses-for-sale/
It clearly demonstrates that “Roy” has tailored his business to selling in the USA.
It would be a surprise if this pony had no record.
This is pretty much exactly my analysis. Granted, the pony is insanely cute, but what are they paying for if the pony is a gelding with no show record?
You may well be right. The 5 yr old video was clearly taken in the Netherlands, but there was an ad on BigEq that has show pics that were probably taken in Florida given the palm trees and they are dated 2016. Wonder where all that quarantine stuff came from…
Well, consider the source of the article.
If you google Frozen plus Stal Wilten there is a reference to the pony being at the Hamptons a few years ago. There is a Frozen of the correct age, size, color, and gender in USEF. I was amazed that there weren’t hundreds of ponies with that name.
If a two-year-old has a “dream pony”, it’s probably purple with a pink mane and tail.
Sure, it’s probably the latest in a string of stupidly-rich-celebrity toys and they’ll get bored with it soon enough and move on to the miniature Ferrari replica or whatever, but as long as the pony is well cared for, Bravo Foxtrot Delta.
What “talent” is this twit famous and overpaid for anyway?
Please don’t call young women names on this board which I assume is mainly its community. It’s demeaning and below us. Call me Karen if you want or the board language police. I don’t care. If we want respect we should model it. Ok, bye.
Is it this same pony? Stats look right, but most of the actual info is gone other than pictures.

It apparently does have a solid US show record, from the looks of it, if that’s even a concern. More importantly it looks like a good citizen who’s been around for a while and will take care of a small child. It’s what anyone would want for their kid.
Frankly, from the perspective of the 17YO pony, this seems like a great deal. It’s going to be completely spoiled, and have a toddler led around on it a couple times a week. Maybe get all dressed up and do leadline. Good for Frozen.
Folks, the Daily Mail is a tabloid newspaper in the UK. Almost nothing it prints is truthful, it’s celebrity gossip etc. I know nothing about this pony and care nothing for the Kardashians/Jenners so don’t flame me.
I think I’ll just ignore you instead. “Twit” is gender-neutral, btw; should I assume you’re a-ok with applying the term to young men?
If you want to be a board moderator so badly, perhaps contact one of the actual Moderators and see if you can apply for the job? Ok, bye.
People in our industry overpay for horses and ponies on a daily basis, but this is the hill we choose to die on?
Who cares? The pony is probably a good one for her toddler to learn to ride on and has enough experience to safely take her to her first horse shows.
The Daily Mail don’t do research very well and undoubtebly think it’s overly previledged to know anything about ponies. They looked up the pony’s name and saw him being sold in 2015. What they didn’t do was research the current seller. But who cares about accuracy ? “Roy” must be a bit of a carnival barker.
I have never understood the fascination with this family or their activities.
That being said, lots of people spend huge amounts of money on horses and ponies. Some of the animals may be suitable for their purpose, and others not so much. But as long as the animals in question are well cared for, so what? If it makes them happy to spend that much money on a pony and publicize the fact, why is it anyone else’s business?
Edited to add: Ok, now that I’ve read the article, I have to laugh at the description of him as the world’s most famous pony. Has anyone ever heard of him before? I have not. And I’ve known a few ponies, famous and otherwise.
This clan discovered and certainly took to its logical extreme the fact that in the current TV and social media environment, you can be famous for being famous, and then you can spin that into actual insane amounts of wealth from both TV and merchandising. Since their target audience is teen girls they have to self present in ways that grab the imagination of the average 13 year old.
You can find them annoying, but they have shown real marketing savvy. Being irritating and drama prone is actually how you hook the average middle school girl into your narrative. So I would not call them twits, exactly.
On the other hand, all the money in the world doesn’t help much if you have a brother in law who is off his meds and embarassing all of you on a national platform.
Buying an insanely expensive pony and then leaking a price tag to the British gutter press is the kind of cute but over the top gesture that works with their fan base. I also suspect it’s not coincidental given the hurtful things manic depressive dissociated brother in law just said publicly about his own first child.
I have never in my life been given absolutely accurate details of a horse sale I wasn’t involved in from anybody except maybe a couple of very close ammie friends who have nothing at stake. Everyone else glosses over a few things, including price. So pony may have been imported already, or traveled back and forth, or been bought from a third party, or leased to a third party … who knows. The Daily Mail is not reliable. It’s about one notch above the National Enquirer.
Sounds like she’s a good business person and she got a good deal. As everyone knows, a good pony is worth a million bucks.
I suggest “Olaf” as a barn name.
I wonder if they feel like the leak may have backfired a bit, given that the article went on to provide so many details about Kanye’s latest escapades. It certainly tests the limits of the theory that there’s no such thing as bad publicity.
But then again, I guess that statement applies to the whole family.
I stand corrected. Please carry on disparaging fellow horse lovers.
This thread is about Kylie Jenner and her kid.
You explicitely said :
What “talent” is this twit famous and overpaid for anyway?
At least, assume your own words…
Kylie is 22 yrs old and, like it or not, she has millions of dollars.
Disparaging people is wrong and always will be.
Disparaging a young successfull woman is just as wrong.
There’s enough hate in this world, keep your sour grapes to yourself.
Lots of celebrities have horses and I, unlike you, am glad they do - and one thing is sure, they have the means to take care of their horses properly.
This, the Daily Mail is a very tenuous news source, should be taken with a large amount of salt…
Ohh where there is salt there should be margaritas, looks at clock, too early yet?
