One issue with sending them back is that you are responsible for return shipping. If you live in Florida, that can be a lot of money and/or time spent driving.

My first mustang I trained as a teenager and that horse had the best “born bombproof” temperament I have ever seen. Really wonderful horse. My next mustang made me regret getting another one. She was boss mare and probably herd leader and had a very strong urge to kick anything she didn’t like. I did get her tame and she has a wonderful new home. But the hours and hours and hours I spent just getting her safe to handle definitely made me not want another one. She was determined to be wild and I was determined to turn her into a solid citizen. I won, mostly because she didn’t like moving her feet and cooperating was better than work. Plus she secretly was a big fan of being brushed and treated like a princess. I suspect someone turned a haflinger out into the wild because she certainly looked like one.

My farm is at capacity so there will be no new horses except for my 2025 foal by my mare. Even though I do wistfully think about adding another horse. My next fur baby will probably be a kitten. I keep watching the foster kittens on Facebook and wanting one even though I Do Not Need another Cat! But they are adorable. And the little ear wiggles on the bottle baby kittens…

She is adorable no matter what you decide to name her. Looks like you won’t have too much trouble with her. How big is she? She looks like she has a nice size to her.

12 hands. She looked shorter in the original pictures. I’m not disappointed. I have a cart that will fit her nicely, if she’s so inclined.

She’s lovely! We’re thrilled with her. In fact, when we went to the adoption event to pick her up, several people were hoping I wouldn’t show up because they wanted her, lol. She was just as easy going as her video implied.

While I was waiting in line, I watched the wranglers load several mustangs. Several people picked out sweet young animals that seemed curious and friendly. They were mostly bays, duns, and chestnuts. There was a beautiful buttermilk buckskin that was a big fighter during loading. She banged around in the trailer once she was in. Several people commented that she looked tough in the holding pen. Don’t buy just the color, lol.

When it was Abby’s turn, she quietly assessed, yet another, trailer (these guys have loaded on and off trailers at several events) and stopped. The wranglers tried flags and shooing noises. Abby ignored them. She was so mellow that they broke protocol. They went in with her, joined hands behind her, and shoved her butt forward! She loaded calmly. No kicking out, no panicking. Everyone watching laughed.

I looked at her picture and thought she would be great to drive.

I’ll have to measure the cart. I think she’s the right size, but it might be too short. I got it for our 10 hand Shetland.

She’s really a pretty burro. Love her face and eyes. Looking forward to read about your adventures together!

Skydog has posted an update on Thora the filly that was sold earlier this year in a BLM auction.

I must say this old Pony has tears.

Be safe dear sweet Thora, be safe and forever loved.

Is it a good update? Is she being trained?

Presumably this is the update and all is well. If Instagram won’t load, and you don’t have an account, I’m sorry.

Thank you for the link @Djones. I did not know (or remember) what Skydog was so I had no idea where to even start to find what was being talked about.

Wow, that stalking behavior is despicable! She’s safe. Be thankful.

I do not understand it.
As long as the horse is safe, why care past that?

I doubt anyone is going to pay that much for her and then send her to slaughter.
