Practical Horseman posted a photo of Michael Hughes from last weekend and there are a bunch of ENRAGED commenters picking apart his eq and generally aghast that he got third.
While, granted, it’s not the best pic of his position, I would love to crowdfund an event where all the internet haters could try to ride an eq course from one of the finals and see how successful they are. Hell, let’s even lend them nice horses to do it!
People who say “this person isn’t a good rider/didn’t deserve to pin in an eq class because of this one moment in time” are as bad as people who think riding isn’t a sport because the horse does all the work.[/QUOTE]
The people that comment on the Facebook posts from PH are a special breed. They are the ones that thought Beezie was making a “grand standing” by being the only one to participate in the victory gallop at WEG from the team medals. They also went on and on about how untrained the three other horses clearly were and had no business being at WEG since they get riled up in a victory gallop and how their riders clearly can’t ride properly. That came from the natural horsemanship Parelli freaks.
Then there are the ones that tear apart Jessica Springsteen on every photograph that gets posted of her by PH. “Her daddy bought her those wins/nice horses, she can’t REALLY ride. She walked into the arena without her horse to get her Open Jumper championship awards, so she doesn’t really care about the horses, she’s just a spoiled rich girl.” It’s only said about her though. Only because she has a famous last name. Nobody says anything nasty like that about Lillie Keenan, Katie Dinan or Paige Johnson who definitely have more money backing them. Jennifer Gates and Georgina Bloomberg get the same treatment as well. Jealously is a horrible thing.
