Ballaghmore Class has rested that hind right in both halts. Habit or bothering him a bit?
Wondering the same thingā¦
God I love Bug
Vermiculus has such a nice bouncy passage-y trot! Lovely.
Ballaghmor Class has so much ring presence. Just looked it up and heās 16.2hh, I would have guessed over 17hh if youād asked.
Beautiful test from Boyd even with Thomas getting a bit fired up by the changes.
I havenāt been watching all the tests but Laurenās halt/rein back/canter depart and stretchy circles were some of the nicest Iāve seen and Vermiculus has the cutest toe-flicky trot.
Oh my goodness HERE WE GO. Iām setting my alarm now for 6am (mountain time) on a Saturday to make sure I donāt miss a thing! Canāt wait to tune in with you all tomorrow!
What a day! Carlevo really closed it out beautifully.
Anyone else feel like one of the camera operators was feeling pranky with all of the zooming?
Will Faudreeās commentary was hilarious - Buck & Carlevo had a little trot step/bobble and he said āMaybe the judges were blinking.ā
During Will Colemanās test on Off the Record, the horse had a bobble in the contact and WF said something like āheās smart because he does it when his back is to the judgesā
It is a wonderful thing to have 2 Americans in 1st and 2nd and many under 30 scores. I think the scoring was fair and am VERY excited about tomorrow!
I had a horse go limping lame warming up for a race! Untack her and take her back to the barn and texted the vet 911! He came and literally couldnāt find a single thing wrong with her. We flexed, jogged, xrayed until she glowed and nothing. Very long story short she had a rib out so was limping lame with a saddle girthed up but fine otherwise. Thankfully an easy fix once we figured it out.
The same thing happened to Dom Schramm at Jersey Fresh a few years ago. I remember thinking he looked GAUNT all weekend (it looked like his belt was on the tightest hole, and his pants were still sagging), when he wasnāt wearing his jacket. A friend of mine was volunteering and said that he had food poisoning and basically couldnāt eat the entire weekend. He still did decently well, but yet another hazard of horse showingā¦eating at questionable food trucks.
I do not ride at this levelā¦but i cannot ride without sunglasses (blue eyes) or I canāt see! Better to be able to see than to look good
I think so
Same here - light eyes, and the older I get, the harder it is to ride without them without squinting and wincing!
I have a friend whose horse went lame between the first and second jogs for two rounds of the AO hunters (hunters are, or used to be, jogged in a group in order of placing at the end of the class). As in, he jogged fine up the ring, everyone turned around and repositioned themselves in the order for the second round, and he jogged back dead lame. It was an abscess and she figured that the turning around moved something into a more painful position. Of course, she had won the second round. And, yes, she got the ribbon for the first round since heād jogged sound for that.
Is anyone able to cast the live stream to a SmartTV? I canāt figure it out? Normally Iād use my HDMI cable from my laptop to my TV, but Iām not at home this weekend.
TV has Airplay available and phone is iPhone 12 Pro.
on the same page as dressage, you have to scroll to the right. https://kentuckythreedayevent.com/5-star-list/
