Rotten luck for sure with the shoe!

after all that rain yesterday, the footing in the jump ring is fabulous. I thought it might be muddy

Is the 4* SJ being broadcast anywhere? Not on USEF. I can see the results coming in on the K3D site. Looks like nobody is going clean so far. It would be nice to see it.

Covid travel restrictions

i have it on USEF

It is on USEF

same live stream on USEF network! https://broadcast.usef.org/coverage/2021lrk3de/

Is it just me or does it look like Elisa has a lot of hardware in Lee’s mouth again today?

I’m seeing a lot of hate on the course yesterday.

I think people should remember that it’s the RIDERS choice to go for time. Many of those falls would have been avoided if the riders weren’t going for it.

Add the fact they haven’t been out much in 2 years.

I don’t think course design is to blame.

She has had insane headgear on those horses all weekend. It’s gross.

Looked to me like a lever noseband with an elevator…obviously can’t see what’s in the horses mouth though and I only got a quick glance at the end.

is the big Land Rover logo on landing after the last fence actually there, or is it an image for video coverage?

my horse would spook mid air upon seeing that and launch herself sideways to avoid stepping on that bright colourful logo … i would probably land smack in the middle of the image.

It’s just on the video.

That type of footing thrives on lots of rain. It helps bind the felt to the sand to make that incredible springy surface. If it isn’t raining it requires a TON of watering to keep it nice.

I agree. The course definitely wasn’t any harder than past years, and this is an Olympic year. I know we discussed this yesterday, but I think there was a lot of rust to be knocked off (some quite literally). The good thing is that everyone is walking away fine and hopefully learned something.
