Looking for complete feed suitable for a senior with NSC under 10 - cushings horse

I do TC Lite with my Cushings pony (although I guess it’s not a complete feed, still should be fed with other forage, so if he has issues eating hay it may not work). It only has 9.3% NSC. She would prefer a tastier textured feed rather than a pellet, but she’s not picky enough to actually turn her nose up at the pellets either

TC suggests their Low Starch formula if you have to feed above 4-5 lbs of TC lite, but that one does have a slightly higher NSC (13.5%). It’s a pellet as well though.

What about alfalfa pellets? I feed standlee pellets with a vitamin mineral supplement for my old mare with free choice coastal. She has just started losing weight but she stopped eating the coastal. Time to increase the pellets.

Affordable and low in nsc.

Hallway Fibrenergy

Do you know what the NSC is for that feed?

Thanks for the suggestions. He will not eat soaked alfalfa pellets, but will eat soaked alfalfa cubes??? Horses!

While the Purina Active Senior is less expensive, I like that the Triple Crown Lite has a lower NSC level. My nearly 30 year old cushings TB really likes it, too.

Hygain Zero is 5.5%.
