louise HIT ME NOW (haiku war)

Sorry didn’t know
only haiku now allowed –
asking for clarity!

Besides which, darling
on the thread I started was
first haiku of day!

Newbie to this board.
Sometimes ignored, sometimes lost.
Now will go away.

(Good at haiku though,
just not cognizant of war.
Wah, not play game right.)

Then eventers must
all be geniuses because
they sure are simple.

mucous lava flows
viscous golden green fountain
nasal trumpet blast

in our tiaras
and in our thongs and customs
scaring eventers

eventer or dq
We share elements of both
I ask, which are we?

when out trail riding
we must (doh!) behave ourselves
no hasty corners

(do DQs trail ride?
We don’t know - they say yes, but
never seem to go.)

We love eventing
that amazing gallop run
spectators scatter

But alas, the mare
has been there, done that. Needs no
evidence further.

The rider still lusts
for the telephone-pole laced
fields, wet interludes.

But dressage is good.
Challenges remain.
Lessons are learned.

When do we finish
the warmup? Always tricky
to decide as is.

Choosing a horse or
coach, like choosing a college
or lover, changes all.

Someday I will find
the mare a new partner who
likes gallop, no jumps

Then -yes- time to seek
a new partner, who adores
the splash, the run home.

Young partner grateful
(or not!) for long lessons taught
to rider, by mare

Sit still (unless you
mean to talk); ask once (don’t shout);
Ride with confidence.

Who needs arena fence?
A gallop through water worth
twelve hours of driving.

Canter half-pass divine.
Tempi changes fun. But at
night, galloping dreams.

How dare you stand there
so close in that cross-tie to
Me, the alpha mare.

Have you no respect?
You must cower before me!
A queen likes her space.

Eventing/Dressage?
Run and jump/sit trot and BUMP!
No option needed

Take that, Horsefeathers!
Where are the other DQs?
Missing in action?

Monday here at last
DQs back in force I hope
Eventers beware

dressage is what you
choose to do when you get to
pick, from all, the BEST

Eventers quibble
What it is that DQ means
Distress Quotient, no?

No, it is nibbles
SLC’s new enterprise
Duckie Quiches (yumm)

Ouch! I felt that!
Hit in head with frying pan!
But it hurt so good!

Back at the stables …
DQ’s DO know their gender
Eventers forgot

“Just shut up and ride”

Mock Hunt last Sunday
Work days the next few weekends
Cubbing thirty first!

(You?)

Show Fat Boy a jump
Boring! As he hops over
Now back to real work

Eventers win? Not.
Brains injured, words will not come
They’ll be silent soon.

Camstock surprised? Oh
My beating heart-E’s cheap shots
fine. But not DQ’s?

Truth is truth. Hurts too.
Eventers win on jump course
Dressage wins in life.

War like Tic tac toe
No winners unless all win.
Haiku quite profound!

Bend Straighten and go
Extention across is sweet
Lose grip bang crotch not

Neither here nor there
Nor anywhere can a jump
muss a DQ’s hair

Tidy linen dress
Straw hat with black trailing bow
DQ’s dress up good

DQ smooth and soft
Rock-N-Roll suits eventers
We all drink too much

Badger, what’s with rhyme?
You sound like Puck in Bard’s “Dream”
in that last haiku

Ow! AJ’s head hurts!
Runs back to Eventing Board
To hide from DQs

Where is RileyT
Or Velvet when you need them?
Help! Help! says AJ
