Copy and paste because it’s too crazy to type out again!
TLDR: My horses are awesome!
The Maryland state fair is one of my very favorite shows to show hunter breeding because there are so many people there and so much for the horses to see because the ring is literally next to the midway. I think Juliet may have won her class in the past but she has never won a championship so I didn’t know how it works. It’s different from any other show I have ever been to and frankly a little weird but ok.

Broodmares only show in one class at hunter breeding shows normally but that isn’t how they do it at the fair apparently. So Juliet wins her broodmare class and comes back in the Senior Championship against the winners of the 3, and 4 year olds of both genders. So basically the fat old ladies against the young athletes, which she won!

Violet won her class so she had to come back for the junior championship which is literally foals. yearlings and two year olds of both genders against each other. Which she won. Which set up a mother daughter showdown!

Both the junior champion and reserve faced off against the senior champion and reserve and Vi came out on top as the Grand Champion! I was secretly rooting for Vi but half expecting Juliet to win due to all the bling and dapples. I believe in breeding to improve the breed so this was at least one judge’s opinion that I was successful in that quest. So, so proud!

What a lovely, lovely horse. You should be so proud of her and her dam. Kudos to you for your thoughtful breeding choices and contributions to furthering really nice horses.

Well it wasn’t the kind of moment we were hoping to be known for but it’s good to be number one! Violet is already beating Olympians for year end honors!
Scroll down to number one and swipe left.

Here is the pic in case you don’t want to click and scroll down to the bottom. In an Olympic year with a brand new US Five Star my girl was part of the number one moment of the year in US eventing.

No real offers to speak of. I think it is pretty clear she is staying with us.
