Maybe we should start and “Abused by WTM” Clique! LOL
well written
I followed the link shawnee posted and was dismayed to notice that the rebuttal is not displayed well. Grr. However, props to shawnee for her well written statement regarding the accusations along with substantiating it with links to the threads concerning this guy.
I hope this guy doesn’t make a lasting impression on any one’s welfare or business just because they are standing up to him for what is right. Looking at the way he runs his campaign against people though I cant see it reaching many people in the horse world. What a nut job.
Just spent a couple of days reading this thread and the best way to sum it up…! There were so many posts I wanted to add to, answer, give two thumbs up… I wasn’t sure I could multi-quote that many. So I’ll just add my two cents worth.
TheHarrier, how wonderful that you have taken these horses and are giving them the proper care that they so desperately need. When you purchased them did you send anything via the post office? And can I assume you are in a different state? I ask because either could constitute federal criminal charges against Mr. “Whatever His Name Is At The Moment”.
Other posters have mention they too have had dealings with him. Lulu’s posts, #126 & #127, are excellent resources. I would encourage anyone who feels they have been defrauded to click on Lulu’s link or contact their local FBI office. http://www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field Believe it or not, the Dept. of Justice takes fraud very seriously. I have emails from as far back as 2007 from COTHers who had dealings with Trina (post 126). She was finally charged after numerous people contacted the FBI.
Getting criminal charges brought against such individuals is the best way to stop them. Can it be difficult and time consuming at times? Yes, but it is well worth the effort. Just ask any one of the victims in Trina Kenney’s case or feel free to ask/PM me. My felons spent 1.5 years in federal prison for their fraudulent horse deals. One can certainly get Trina’s case number via the www and I’ll happily supply mine should anyone need it for legal purposes. All are public record and readily available. Ironically, about 5 pages in to this thread I received a call from the US Attorney’s office on a totally unrelated horse issue…but they encourage contacting them.
As far as Mr.WHNIATM suing for libel regarding things that have been posted about him…I will briefly tell you how this played out in court during my case. The night before court I received a PM from a COTHer stating that one of my felons was “going to bury me in court” because of things said on COTH and had printed out all 3-gazillion pages. I called the US Attorney’s office to give them a heads-up and the link to the original thread. They stayed up most of the night reading it. Their conclusion? COTH was a chat/info board and all the posts were facts, opinions or more victims. All the thread did was make them look more guilty and the defense did not dare submit it.
shawneeAcres, sorry you’ve gotten pulled in to this craziness. I agree with Kris26, you have written an excellent rebuttal complete with facts, links and correct spelling and grammar. Not a fan of the Ripoff Report site and his type of character assassination is a perfect example of the importance of identity verification and the reason RMHP provides such to protect professionals. Glad you have an attorney working on a letter but sorry you have to spend your hard earned money not to mention valuable time on this. shawnee, if you think I might be able to help you in any way please feel free to contact me anytime.
I am sure Mr. WHNIATM is reading every word of this thread…they usually do!

You know what I find hiliarious? I own the pony that he’s referring to and haven’t even shown her to a single person since she was put on the market about two weeks ago if that! This guy has to be stopped…I believe I’ll be sending you a PM Shawnee. Two will make this so much more fun. And yes, I’ll join that clique!
I want to be a member of the Abused By clique, seeing as one of the horses TheHarrier got had been mine a few years ago.
Does he actually own all the horses he is selling or is he acting as an agent?

He gets them from auctions and from unsuspecting people who think they are giving their horse to him (for free) because he’s promised to provide them a “forever and loving” home. Then a week later (if that) he lists them for sale and states that his clients are “downsizing” or “going out business”. When in actuality he collected them all and sells them for prolly 3 to 4 times the amount he got them for. And vastly misrepresents them to boot.
Does anyone here have a mailing address for this guy? the last address I had was Orangeburg, SC back three years ago and doubt he is there now

PLEASE put a rebuttal on your ROR and then a link to mine! If we can chain a bonch of these together then it makes the evidence even MORE convincing. Also can you email me as I would like you to contact my lawyer and show him this “report” thanks!
Shawnee, have your lawyer review the posts Thompson has put up about me on ROR. As entertaining as it is, and I don’t care bc to me the more I search that website the more I realize its a junk site with no rules or regulations and is a money pit to victims… somehow I bet it violates FEC regulations by blackmailing innocent victims to pay to have it taken down.
Everyone who posted should check for themselves. Feel free to link reports of mine with yours. I can’t set up links well right now. Unfortunately I feel I get the brunt end being in close proximity to him, but he cannot damage my business as he may do with others. Really I wish he would grab some rational and grow up. This is not how professionals work, nor how adults act.

I keep getting emails that are telling me how they can “fix” things on ROR for me, at a fee ofcourse! Am thinking that ROR probably is in “cahoots” with others that “fix” it and get a kickback! Talk about a Rip Off! The whole thing just has me at a point I am nearly ready to get out of this business! I run an honest business, am hard working and just about impossible to get ahead! Even tho, for example, when I went to a show this weekend. A woman from NJ who had moved down here was talking about how dismal the quality of hroses/riders was around here to a parent of one of my older students. She did not know me, but pointed out the womans daughter warming up and said “THATS a nice horse/rider pair” not knowing it was her daughter. My parent told her it was her kid and then the trainer pointed out several more of my kids/horses. Subsequently I met her and spoke with her, VERY nice lady. Nice to be recognized that way BUT I am so tired of the other end of the spectrum, this kind of malicious back stabbing. Also tire of people thinking trainers are out to rip you off! My prices are SO LOW its amazing I can stay in business, I never inflate anything and try to make it affordable for the parents that are NOT as well off financially. But its tiring to do all of this and then face this kind of absolute ridiculous slander! Sorry, just venting…
Vent away! I am in a similar boat, my clients (all adult ammys) go out and show and win but I can’t compete with the so called big names around here because I am new, and use different methods. I’ve had to take whatever my client have in their pockets sometimes because I would rather keep the honest loyal customers I have then lose them due to getting laid off or family emergency. But they are happy with me and I love them. But the BS and “'Member only rules” I run into a lot lately is starting to piss me off. I love local schooling shows… when the club president isn’t showing! Lol
I just wanted everyone to know that I had posted earlier about purchasing ABLE from MSF. Able has turned out to be an awesome horse. I took him to the vet after putting a few hundred lbs on him and he is a 3 year old which is what they told me he was. I am not sure if he is actually a warmblood cross due to him not having papers but regardless he still is a great horse. He has great confirmation and he is doing good under saddle and showing a lot of show potential for next year. I have pics posted on my website of him http://taylorsporthorses.weebly.com/able.html
I took before pics of his arrival but do not have them posted.
However all in all I do not regret purchasing this horse, however I do believe that their looks to be a lot of fraud going on with this farm.
I do highly recommend that everyone look at horses in the future before purchasing, it is just a cheap airplane ticket and if the owner has a problem with that, well then that should tell you right their its too good to be true. I am sorry for the horses and owner who had bad dealings with him, its a shame that such things can happen.
Able looks like a lovely Thoroughbred.
Prior to your trying/seeing him, was he represented to you as “needing a few hundred” pounds? That’s a lot of pounds to put on a horse.
If that’s the case I believe you too, rescued a horse.
Best of luck with him.
just read through this tread and oh Lordy! i didn’t open any of the link other than The Harrier’s original ones since I can’t bear seeing any living thing suffer. He seriously needs to be stopped, the poor things!
this scares me about a horse i was looking at who was at a different farm. he was in summerville, sc (and it’s not just because it was in SC) but she’d originally listed 3 TBs all around 5yrs and being greenbroke for $500 apiece. i’d inquired about one and talked back and forth a few times. i had a lot going on workwise and talked to her every now and then and when i finally went to set up a date to go down there, she said she’d had a couple people interested in him and then i learned that his Coggins hadn’t been pulled again even though two months prior when it had expired she’d said she’d get it repulled. i’d asked initially if they’d been breeders or something and she’d said “no” and then like a week later another listing was up with more horses and a description saying that they’d bred TBs and were getting out of the business. i ended up buying from VA but i hope that everybody (read: horses) at that farm in SC is okay and that she was legit.
TheHarrier, how is Travis doing?

does this mean he’s leaving the East Coast to go screw over unsuspecting people on the West Coast???

Oh that’s wonderful, out of all the people who have posted here ONE person had a good experience…great odds…LOL
Now he’s got a new incarnation, Brookstone Stables, but it looks like the same old farm in S.C.
Taboo possesses a GREAT mind, that allows him to be VERY versatile in several disciplines. Not only is Taylor great in the ring, but he is also wonderful out on the trails! He hacks out alone or in company and is a blast to ride! He has fox-hunted several times, and done a few hunter-paces as well.
I thought the horses name was Taboo?
I’ve been following along with this thread. It is such a shame that these seemingly nice horses have fallen into such awful hands. I hope everyone involved comes out okay and you guys are able to get him out of this business for good!
