Mallard Springs Farm- SC .. any experience?
Oh that’s wonderful, out of all the people who have posted here ONE person had a good experience…great odds…LOL
Scratch that “good experience.” TaylorSportHorse may have put a lot of TLC into this horse, but here’s what she had to say earlier in the thread:

I have bought a horse from him 2 months ago, He is on there and his name is ABLE… He is supposed to be an oldenburg/tb cross… not really sure. I only bought him bc in his video he had an awsome jump to him. When Able arrived he was way under weight and very wormy. His overall condition is bad, and I would say he has a lot more TB in him then warmblood. He was pretty wild acting as well. After about 2 months he looks a lot better and has grown… With love and care he is doing great. These people are trash and when I tried to email them back to get more info on ABLE they would not contact me, I am having him vet checked to see if he really is a 3 year old or I would not be supprised if he was only 2…

The Harrier regarding Mallard/Old Orchard Farm

Thank you so much for your candid photos–not another word need be uttered. Best of luck in putting a halt to this practice! So happy the horses are now in good hands & I’m sure they are immensely appreciative.

So, he’s not moving to CA?

I too had posted earlier in this thread about a horse that I had bought through Mr. Moore at Old Orchard Farm. Like TaylorSportHorses I also ended up getting very lucky. After putting on about 200lbs and treating his thrush and his hooves that were literally rotting away he is doing pretty well. Despite how well trained he looked in his video, he was not (probably drugged). I am having him go through training and the trainer said that another 8-12 months of solid flat work she thinks he could make a great horse. Though I did get thoroughly ripped off, and thousands of dollars later, hopefully it will turn out ok.

I know there was an investigation going on the the sheriff’s department. Does anyone know how that went?

UGH

Saw the ad for Taboo on equine.com, and thought it looked like him… good grief…will the madness never end? poor babies…and the folks that are getting ripped off!

As long as there are horses for sale, there will be con artists. Buyer beware.

Sorry I have been MIA for so long. Travis is doing well. He is picking up weight and very bright. His founder is so bad that I don’t feel okay putting much work into him just to watch him completely deteriorate. We have several two year olds in a huge field that he loves to hang around and he couldn’t be a happier guy.

The grey- who we have since renamed “Goose” (as his head looks the part) is doing well. He had an emergency surgery at DuPont Marion for that swelling on his neck that turned out to be (hang onto your trousers kids) bastard strangles. A humongous vet bill later, we are okay. We sure as Hell dodged a gigantic bullet by quarantining these guys right off of the bat. All horses that come to our place get their own “quarantine” paddock that is separated by 24’ breezeways but these two got to live 100 acres away from civilization. I don’t know if I will ever get the sense of smell back in my nose from all of the bleach we went through- surely Costco is appreciative! Goose is completely clear of strangles now but still a rack of ribs. Now onto figuring out why we refuse to gain weight and are still sore.

Anyways- glad that people are still tracking him down. Will update again soon with the other related news

Glad to hear the good news. That poor grey. Kudos to you and hope these two horses bring as many blessings to you as you have brought to them.

Same here.

I’m simultaneously so, so sorry you got stuck in this mess, and so, so glad the horses were lucky enough to end up with you.

Mallard Springs Farm /Old Orchard Farm/Threepondsfarmsc

It seems these 3 farms are related in some way. Latest poat for Doc Doolittle and Kodak on equine.com. Seeing that it is the same rider big heavy bald man in all videos (even though the trainer says it a western trainer that only starts them…), the videos are all the same with the same music, same side reins attached to saddle, same free jump, same bad jumping photos, the braids are done the exact same (fat and taped), tails are done the same way, same bridle, same conf. shots. SOUND FARMILIAR???
This new Rob (at least thats what he said his name was on the emails) if thats his real name is very dishonest, rude and unprofessional. He has since(today) taken down all the ads and video’s that could trace him. What he forgot to do was take down the Old Orchard videos b/c its the same person!!!Thank Goodness I saved all the ads to another place with the videos he sent me for my attorney.
BEWARE to anyone that does business with Threepondsfarmsc, clemsongrad75 they are in Ware Shoals, SC. he gives you a huge line of BS making you think he is nice and looking out for the best interest of the horses. I am so glad I saw his true colors before the horses arrived. I can only image what they would have been. If needed go to oldorchardfarms on youtube and see what this guy looks like. I am sure he will change his MO now with new farm name etc but you cannot mistake this guy’s riding style!!!
BEWARE!!! You can email me at wallstfarm@aol.com for details!

WOW!!! This is some crazy shit!! I cant believe Thompson Moore/OOF/MSF/WTF else he is calling himself - always gets away with this kind of shit!! OOOO I have a wonderful new “farm” name he can use… “Old Faggot Farm” LOL Well someone had to say it! I too had some dealings with him, and they were also very bad!! Im glad this faggot is FINALLY getting what he deserves… How many drugged, lame, and sick horses do you have to sell before you get caught!!! OBVIOUSLY A-LOT! Its time someone put his gay ass out of business… Everyone keep posting! We cant let this thread die out!!

My goodness PuppyB, you’re language is detestable! As much as I strongly dislike Mr. Thomson Moore, I would never use such language.
Take a second, reread what you wrote and maybe consider some editing.

Guess who has a new incarnation – and a new wild story:

http://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/horse-ad-1217549.html

If only “Midnight” would really look like that when he arrived… sigh.

There is also a cute although a tad lean for my eyes TB mare that is supposedly bred to his WB stallion for next year. She is only listed on CL and the ad refreshes every day/other day or so. If it was not him, I would probably go look, but I wont be giving him any money. Unfortunately the people around here on our CL will think its cool to own a fancy horse and they can make so much money that the mare and upcoming foal are probably doomed… just our areas economy/mentality. I hope I don’t have to pick this mare up as a freebie in the next year for rehab. :frowning:

Lancome’

I too purchased a horse from thomson moore of old orchard farm. I found the add on equine.com for which stated, Lancome’ a BIG 15.3 warmblood, with clean exrays, show horse, jumper, quiet trail horse that anyone can ride. Yes, it was a sad story, Robert (the so called seller) had lost his job. He loved this extrodinary mare, who he had paid $15,000 for 3 years ago, and was willing to let her go for only $2500 to a loving home. I called him, we spoke for almost an hour, he brought tears to my eyes with the wonderful stories of this faithful mare. He told me to call his trainer Thomson Moore of Old orchard Farms and talk to him because he knew the horse and loved her too. Well I did. More wonderful things. To make this story shorter, I bought her. She arrived thin, blistered, horrible teeth, bad hoof care, and oh yea, 14.3 hands, a SMALL Paint of some sort, no papers, no ex rays, and to boot, absolutely no training. I took her to two trainers who told me to get rid of her that she was dangerous. I had already spent most of the money I had saved to buy her and have her shipped to MA, and in this economy I was told she was worth nothing. To make things worse, I had to have an emergency call to the vet because she couldn’t eat. I tried to contact Mr. Moore, and Robert but no responce. Finally I threatened to expose him and he then told me I was crazy and it was my fault for buying the horse. He also said he would sue me, for what I still don’t know. I am sorry to hear of so many people getting ripped off by him, but I think it is important to file our complaints with the BBB and take legal action to put a stop to his maddness. Over the last year I have saved and put about $2000 worth of training into Lancome’ and she unfortunately can not stay sound. She has been diagnosed with a bone spur on the pack of her pastern. With special shoes and bute she can do occasional light rides. I am an animal lover, I can not afford another riding horse, and I know there is no one who would want Lancome’ because of her issues. After hearing all the stories of other people who have been lied to, I am commited to persuing action against Robert and Thomson Moore. Sorry to hear he has changed his name and name of business so many times. The good news is he has left a clear trail back to himself. Who ever commented on his riding style, your right, you can pick him out of any utube and know its him!

Is there really no way anyone could press federal charges against him? Is there really nothing illegal this guy is doing? Seriously, shady horse selling, sounds awfully familiar to the Federal Fraud Case with Keg Berlin and Josh Caradine. This guy is no better or different.
