I absolutely find this thread HILARIOUS!
Prior to purchasing my current horse, I had been sent an ad from www.equine.com in regards to a horse by the name Cavallo. A big 17.2 warmblood that wasn’t started under-saddle as a 5/6 year old. “Robert Fortenberry” was desperate to sell this horse as he was willed Cavallo from his grandmother who recently passed away. She bred him, but became to frail to train him. It was a GREAT sob story including him trying to be a nurse and couldn’t afford him or to have him sheltered.
I continued to show interest in this horse, and things got a little weird. He sent contracts and had me to talk to Thomson, his trainer. Once I spoke to him, it became clear he had not a single, flippin’ clue what he was doing. Oh, and all of the sudden Cavallo had a major suspensory pull from running in the mud and that he was rushed to the vet and would no longer be rideable.
I called the local vets and said I would like to pay for ultra-sounds and whatnot to see the extent of the damage at which point all communications ceased with Thomson Moore and Robert Fortenberry- and luckily I wasn’t as naive as other have been and they never received a dime.
I really don’t understand how people like this can sleep at night- and all the while horses are suffering in their care. And watching the videos was enough to give me nightmares, but I just had to tempt fate and see if this horse was going to work out. Thankfully, my trainer had a horse she was breaking that was and is my perfect match

Despite what some cothers say, people do often sue for libel. For example, the Savannah College of Art and Design sued the School of Visual Arts down here. Plus a barn owner sued another cother right over the bridge in SC. Lots of libel and slander cases are filed. Most are settled as once one posts or says something false and it can be documented, there’s not much of a defense that the defendant can mount
All of you who bought horses that were misrepresented to you should have class action standing if you have the original pictures and descriptions of your horses.

The guy needs some SERIOUS psychiatric care! This is “cyber bullying” and slander, but I cannot even find out an address that this guy is currently at, in order for my lawyer to send him a letter!

He attacked me not only on here, starting a thread about me which the mods quickly removed (thank you mods! anyone see is it?), but also ripoffreport and yet another website. Apparently I have three or four fake Facebook accounts to stalk one of his friend’s boyfriends. He posed as another girl with a separate username to comment on his other posts.
And he trashed my YouTube too with two separate accounts. Just videos of me lessoning, nothing special but I am a horrible rider, need serious help, then of course he attacked Ms. Luna.:rolleyes:

Ya know I kind of feel bad for everyone getting attacked on here. I started this thread, and really truly while I had suspicion that it was him, I really had never heard of MSF before someone in Louisiana sent me a PM asking if I could do some sight checking as they were looking at one of his horses. I still have those correspondance to prove it! I am not fishing for dirt LOL
And while TM has gone after me before this for warning people about the quality of his horses he has never taken it this far, nor attacked so many people at once. I have actually reached out to him and tried to speak rationally that he had tarnished his name, not me, I had more than an earful when I moved into this town before I even started a business here. He burned his own bridges before I was in the state! I tried a calm logical approach ( I have experience with mentally unstable and delusional people) but to no avail.
Its a shame bc from the people I talk to he has a special way with horses but its wasted on a irrationality [edit]. Anyway… I feel awful that everyone here has to endure these stupid acts bc of my trainwreck of a thread. I know many people have court papers in limbo because no one can find him and I surely hope you all get some retribution and closure. I have my own police reports on him but they haven’t been able to find him in years.

Just wish he were closer to the coast. You guys do know that you can get service by publication if the sheriff cannot find someone when you sue a person civilly? Then to get a default judgment. Of course to collect on it, you do have to find his assets, not his ass:lol:, so you find where he owns property, or registers his truck, trailer, etc. A good civil lawyer who has the money to finance a class action suit could do all the work for you. And you all divide the costs, which you get back in a civil judgment. Of course you all might end up owning all those horses he is trying to sell.

This is my thinking as well. You can’t run and hide forever. Sooner or later it’ll all catch up to him. And really if you think about it, this thread certainly has had some damage to his “reputation”…as deserved.

I have valid proof that Thomson Moore ( and so called Robert Lenard) completely misrepresented the horse he sold me. I have the equine.com add he posted, all email communications, records of phone conversations, several trainers and vets that I have worked with regarding this horse. I also have copies of many of the other adds he posted with other conflicting stories. I can match his email and phone number to these stories. I also have copies of his Old Orchard Farm website. The best defense against this guy is the truth. Anyone looking for a particular copy of an add let me know I probably have it. He was very crafty to remove the adds after the horses where sold. Thomson Moore sold me a gross misrepresented and dangerous horse. He has no regard for the horse or for me or my daughter. I have been physically as well as financially injured and I intend to continue with litigation.
