Mare Sharing--free broodmare leases

Free Lease Palomino Mare

Coming 4 yo palomino tb mare by Goldmaker out of a Sword Dance mare. Daisy is 16 hands, a very good mover and jumper. She IS NOT Jockey Club registered, but I will pay for her to be presented to RPSI, ISR/OldNA, or possibly GOV (yes, I will try!). She injured her hock and still isn’t quite 100%, so I am offering her for a free breeding lease to an approved home. The only thing you have to carry is her insurance (approximately $300/year). She can not stay where she is, so she would have to go to wherever you are. Email or PM me. Angela

Photos of her and her sire.

I previously posted (in April, post 18) about a 17 y.o. 18hh buckskin mare for free lease. I had a home for her but unfortunately it fell through. She has a 5 month old Olivier filly at her side right now. This mare has schooled through 3rd level with her changes, evented through training level, and has shown through the level 4 jumper as some local schooling shows. She has an old injury that prevents her from doing much work but can be lightly hacked. I do not have her papers but I was told she was either an ISH or some type of warmblood cross.

She would be ideal as a recipient mare for an embryo transfer or as a broodmare herself. She is a super mother and really enjoys her job. Please contact me through PM and I can give you my email address.

I will post pictures below of her. Anyone who has contacted me previously I will try to get in contact with you again.

Looking for broodmare to use for 2009 season and possibly longer. We are a small WB breeding operation near Red Deer, Alberta and can offer a great home. We would prefer a mare that has been bred before (fairly recently), no angular limb problems and no history of foaling problems. Please private message if you have a suitable mare. Thanks!

TB Mares bred to Cleveland Bay Sporthorse Stallion

I have ugh. I think nine mares bred for next year. I would consider off farm leases if someone was interested in a 2009 foal. You would just pay stud fee. If someone wanted to lease on my farm I would do it for just the price of feed/care on my farm through foaling/weaning. I don’t want to be in a position where I have to try to sell 9 foals next year, so if a few can be free leased out I’d prefer that. I am in NE PA. I have two welsh cross mares bred to him, a perch cross mare, and 6 tb mares. You can see a quick clip of the stallion in the field and pictures, along with some of his foals at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Bl9wg1WTuA

snickerdoodle, I cant pm you. Can you email me please? I LOVE Mokheiba. imajacre@total.net

I have and older TB mare that is a great mom and free to a good home. She has carried 2 foals that I know of, both are amazing!!!

She is 16.2h dark bay roan, out of Coxs Ridge. I cannot ween her current filly until October so this would have to wait until then or even next year if you want to get and early start for next season.

Even though she is older she was really easy to get into foal. She has a clean culture and negative coggins.

As a younger mare she was a champion Show Jumper, winning in childerns jumpers and modified jrs. She is no longer sound to ride, but has been healthy and happy in the pasture for the 2 years I have owned her, with no problems.

Please pm me if you are interested. I would be willing to help with shipping cost to a good home.

UPDATE

This mare is now entered into the Main Mare book for the AHHA. She is still available and quite lovely. I really need to find her a good home!!![/QUOTE]

My mare still needs a home. If anyone is interested please let me know. She is older but still can be bred!!!

UPDATE
I found her a new home today, thank the Lord!

I currently have 2 mares I would consider a free lease on. Both have produced fantastic babies and both are sound and can be ridden.

BA Aprils Folly, reg Crabbet bred Arabian mare that showed years ago and did very well. She is in Book I RPSI and produced many Premium offspring with the last two being Gold Premium. Her babies do well in the open shows and placing well at DAD.

LJS Almosta Star, reg Half Welsh, ASPR, and RPSI German Sport Pony Approved. She has produced a top Welsh cross on the line that led the East Coast Welsh Shows and went Reserve Champion for her region. We are retaining last years filly. This year she has an absolute stunner that went Premium in her RPSI inspection.

Both mares are currently infoal and can be bred here but can’t leave until we wean 2009 foals. For more info on mares and to see their past offspring go to my website www.lazyjsporthorses.com and or email or call me.

NOTE: **

Gabby has just been weaned from her Sagnol foal and is available now. I am happy to include a stud fee to Sailor’s Spirit for her this year as I’m excited about the cross - just too many in the barn for me this year.

I am looking for short stout well made reining/cutting/reined cow bred mares for 2009 breeding lease. Must be registered quarter horse or paint. Mares will be well cared for by resident vet and farrier. Pictures of current horses and references available.

I have an absolutely beautiful thoroughbred mare available for the 09 breeding season in the DC area. The mare is by Northern Raja, and is a lovely mover, has a perfect temperment and is an easy keeper. 15.1 hands, registered and a proven producer. I would be happy to share pictures of her and her yearling filly.

Pedigree can be seen here:

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/index.php?query_type=horse&h=RAJAS+DARLIN&g=5&cellpadding=0&small_font=1&l=

I also have a large thoroughbred welsh coming three year old available for free lease to approved home with trainer.

We are looking for a FREE LEASE on an Hanoverian Verband or German Oldenburg Verband APPROVED mare for the 2009-2010 season. Located in Eastern Ontario or in Quebec. Might considered an above average Tb mare approved with Hanoverian Verband with a breeding record.

Mare must be breeding sound, no vices, between 15.3 and 16.3 hands and approved into Main Mare Book of one of above said registries. Preferably jumper bloodlines, but not a must…

In exchange, we would take care (at our farm) of all expenses related to the mare, and provide her a safe and calm environment. Safe fences (wood and electrobraid), large stalls when required (bad weather, nights in winter), foal watch by camera from stable to the house, free choice hay, appropriate grain (blue seal), hoof trims each 6 to 8 weeks, regular deworming and vaccines, proper care and attention.

To be bred via frozen semen to a German based premium hanoverian stallion.

Please email for details if you are interested in this kind of deal. We have good references and over 15 years of experience in the care/handling of broodmares, stallions, foals and show horses.

TB broodmare - awesome mover!

I have a registered TB broodie, a shade under 16hh, very dark bay w/ no white stockings. This mare is an awesome mover, and her foals have all gotten her suspension and movement. Good conformation, a good foot. I would say her bone is moderate. She also has huge eyes, and passes this on to her kids as well. Easy breeder, no fertility issues, great mom. She has had a foal this year and was not bred back. I think a sporthorse/warmblood breeder would get super babies out of her…free lease, references WILL be checked (sorry if that offends).

ET recipient mare

I’m hoping to obtain a free lease (or I will take a mare to keep as well) on an embryo transfer recipient mare for the 2009-2010 breeding season. Mare would receive excellent care. 24/7 turnout on approximately 5 acres with shelter, and several other mares for companionship. High quality grass/alfalfa mix hay, and grain w/mare plus supplement 2x daily. Regular wormers, farrier work (barefoot only), vaccinations, blanketing, fly spray/mask and lots of TLC! Mare would be insured. She would not be ridden. If a lease, owner would be welcome to come visit (but no riding). There would be a written contract.

Ideal mare is between 5 - 10 years old, a proven broodmare (and excellent mother!) with no previous pregnancy, foaling, or lactating complications, and in excellent overall health. She must be able to get along with other mares in a herd situation, and have a good temperament. Mare would be returned upon weaning of the foal. She must pass a breeding soundness exam with my vet.

I would love to be able to obtain a mare by February, so she can adapt to my farm and I can get her cycle synched up to my donor mare.

I am in Eastern Pennsylvania, in the Lehigh Valley area. I’m hoping to find a mare within 75 miles of zip code 19530. I can provide trailering, if need be.

Anyone interested can PM me, or email me at:

Free Lease for TB Mare and looking for a WB Mare

This is a great thread!!

Looking for a WB mare that will be bred to an imported Dutch WB for Dressage prospects. The mare will be kept on my private farm with lots of turnout and all the grass she can eat. Must have already been bread and be an easy care does not have to be rideable.

Free lease wanted… located in MS

I am talking to a few people about free leases but thought I would cast a few more hooks to see what comes up.

I am looking for a free lease with a TB, Trakehner, anglo-trakehner or SWB mare.

Willing to consider having the mare stay at the owner’s farm depending on cost & distance (I will have to factor in shipping the foal to Misssissippi).

I am an amature breeding for dressage: gaits and temperment are extremely important.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks!

Old 4 year old chestnut sabino with roaning.

I may consider free leasing my gorgeous 4 year old registered Old 16 hand mare. She is by Walldorf out of a Wiebe mare. She is sabino with 3 high whites (above knee) and lower lip white. She is chestnut with roaning (rabicano). Great to work with, good with vet and can also be ridden. She is lovely. Must remain in California. Leasee pays shipping, insurance and all fees associated with keeping the mare.
