Mare Sharing--free broodmare leases

Looking for Free Lease of maresat my farm in New York area

Will travel to PA or NY areas. Am located in Upstate New York, in Hapursville.

I’m looking to lease 2 mares. Good hunter movement, at least 16 hands. Would be bred to Papparazzo, Coromino or Numero Uno depending on breeding.

NickRick,

Sent you a private message.

I just don’t need to breed 3 mares next year so I am looking for someone who would like to do an on my farm lease for one of my broodmares.

Ellie is a 16 year old 15.1 hand TB/Hanoverian mare. She is small but she does throw large. I am currently riding one of her 17 hand sons. She had a Regazzoni colt last year who scored a 7.9 with an 8.2 for movement. She is currently in foal and due in April. With good semen she catches first time. If you are looking for a good dispostion they don’t come any better than Ellie’s babies. All have been sweet, quiet and very easy to break.

Vet and board would be very reasonable. We also have an Oldenburg inspection just a little over an hour from here so registration should be easy too. I leased her for the Regazzoni colt she had and the leasee was very happy with the whole thing. This is a perfect arrangement for someone who wants a baby but doesn’t have a farm for the mare.

For lease -

Idocus/Dahlwitz/Wendekreis/Weisenbaum xx KWPN-NA mare. 1999 16.0 hands, bay with 3 socks & star (looks just like Idocus). Easy breeder (1 insemination & she’s pregnant), can be protective of her foals. Very, very nice mover (A hunter) & good jumper. Dam is schooling 4th/PSG at 18 - also can be test ridden or just seen in the flesh. Has been inspected AWR (premium) and has KWPN-NA papers…owner just choose to not go in that direction.

Terms - Free lease with the understanding that the new farm must meet approval & maintain contact with owner via email & photos.

Available for breeding after she foals in late February 09.

TB Chesnut with all the trimmings.

Just over 16hh chestnut 3 stockings and a white coronet. Big blaze on face with ermine spot in the middle. She had a very nice filly this May and is open for spring. Off the track and will be 6 next June. Her registered name is Ohboyohboyohboy.
Have never done this before and may need some advice. Hate to part with her really, she is so easy. She is sound so could be ridden too. PM for pics or whatever!
Thanks

In Maine

16.2h 8 yo TB mare–dressage type

Solid dark bay, for lease, also posted under giveaways forum… this mare has received 8s on her gaits at her last four/five shows, but I do not have time for her. She is sound, big-boned, great feet, lovely mover, lovely conformation, willing to please. Would easily pass with any warmblood registry that takes TBs. Nicely bred for sport with French bloodlines on top and Seattle Slew bottom.

Located in NC, prefer she stay on the east coast but would consider options.

TB. to breed to Ponies!!!

Ourtrageous moving Tb. mare! 15.2h 8yrs. old. I am not going to breed A.I. at all this year so I would like to find someone who can use her this year and give her a good home! She has never had a foal but should have no issues. I got her from a very reputable hunter barn! She is a dark bay with white. If her babies move half as good as she does, they will be worth a lot!!

Schoenfeld/Absolute mare available for 2009 lease in VA

Scho-N-Tell is not registered, she will be 8 in 2009 and is 16 hands. She has had 2 foals. One natural cover the other pregnancy was with frozen semen. Betty caught both times on the first breeding.

She last foaled in 2006. Both foalings were easy and she is a great mom. I was going to breed her this spring for myself, but with the economy I am not going to breed anything this coming spring. Betty is too nice a mare to just sit for another year without a job.

Betty is a dark liver chestnut, with a goreous trakehner head, she is a very easy keeper (translated to mean “AIR FERN”) very easy to live with and gets along with mares and geldings. Currently she is patured with a run-in, but is fine with being stalled, She is well behaved for the farrier, worming shots and loads and hauls easily. She is a very correct mare with lovely movement

Betty is located near Charlottesville VA please email if you would like to visit. Email me for recent photos.

Free Lease with lessee bearing the cost of her upkeep. I would however require lessee to purchase a full mortality insurance policy for $5000 with major medical surgical rider and listing me as the beneficiary.

small mare to breed in Toronto

looking for a small pony who is not maiden to breed with Ridley a Han. sport pony. Mine did not take on 2 tries (frozen) last year with a very good vet. I am trying to look into other options. Pony will live at a great farm and be out 24/7. Location is near Toronto. I have the small who did not take I’d be willing to trade for the lease. I also have 1 other coming 3yr. old that I would lease out for breeding. She is maiden. Very nice hunter type but, out of appy lines from JG Appaloosas. She is green broke and just hanging out right now and growing. Thanks

Here’s a different sort of offer. I have an older (19) Hanoverian mare (Diamont/Darwin/Marconi) that has produced for me some really top horses. She is 16.3 hands, chestnut with blaze and two high stockings (all her foals for me have had blazes and four high whites). I did not breed her this year but don’t want to leave her open for too long due to her age.

I don’t want her to leave here, but will not charge for her use. If someone wants to pay for the breeding and vet expenses associated with the breeding and foaling out, I will take care of her for you. You can see Diende at www.sonestafarms.com/breeding.htm PM me if interested.

Edited to say that I have had a huge response to this post and am working with someone on the breeding of this mare right now. Thank you, everyone, for your interest!

Have possible ET recipient mare or whatever you’d want her for…

This would be for the 2009-10 season, of course. Located in central Iowa. I didn’t breed anything last year and now it looks that all of my mares are bred for this spring, however I don’t need to repeat that for the following year. It’s simply too much for me.

Vet is coming later this month to reconfirm pregnancies, but fairly certain by looking that they’re all still very much in foal. I know this will probably hinder timing and such, but if you’re in no hurry to get that going, this just might work for you.

On to the mare. She’s a coming 12yo registered Percheron mare that has had three foals for me (not including the one in the oven), all fillies. Two by my stallion and one w/ an outside stallion (bought her in foal.) She’s 17hh black and has a few white hairs on her forehead, LF heel is white and one tiny spot on her RH pastern. If I remember right, she had three foals w/ her previous owner. She’s easy to breed and hasn’t had any complications reproductive wise, foaling or milking (she milks like a holstein and looks it.) Great mom and not protective, you can do anything you want w/ the baby the minute it pops out and she could care less. She’s broke to drive single and multiples and is green broke to ride (w/t only, it’s all the farther we got.) Traffic safe and been trail riding, goes through water and any terrain. Or simply hop on her and let her walk you around. She doesn’t require stocks to trim and will lift her foot for you once you tap her fetlock and say “foot”. She stands fine for vetting and de-worming.

She is alpha in her herd, but gets along w/ other mares and foals and my stallion just fine. She’s also been w/ geldings and is fine w/ them, as well. Everyone knows their place.

If you think you’d be interested, send me a PM. She’s really a great mare, but I’d hate to see her sit again next year and eat.

TIA

Wanted

I am looking for a mare to breed to my young stallion. He will be 4 in 09 and I would like to breed him to one or two mares. I am looking for a mare that has successfully had foals and is a good mother. Temperament is paramount, as she will live at home with us at our farm. In addition, I am looking to breed for the hunter ring, so movement and jumping style are also key. Ideally I would llike to find a lighter boned mare in the 16.1 hand range with a long neck and correct conformation. Previous success in the show ring is a definite plus.

As for my stallion, he is 3 this year and is by Balou du Rouet out of a Voltaire mare. He will be attending approvals as he matures, but is not approved yet. He is beautifully put together with wonderful elastic gaits and a powerful jump with classic hunter form. He has the best temperament of any horse I have owned, so I am looking for a mare to preserve all of his qualities.

If you are interested, please PM me for more information.

I have a homozygous black sound 12yr TB mare (coming 13) competed in hunters when younger, has been a trail mare with the girl I placed her with last time. I would like to free lease her as a broodmare, great conformation her dam and dams sister where both hunters (unraced) she has a full sister that was a prelim eventer and is currently at an Irish Draught breeding farm producing Irish Sporthorses.

VERY nice temperment, loads, clips, hauls and VERY PRETTY ! I was keeping her and her sister to breed to Unico but now we are getting out of horses all together I want to place her on free lease as a broodmare. I rode her dam ,and all her siblings as well as her aunt  she was bred by my uncle VERY BIG BODIED TB"s they look mroe like warmbloods WIDE chested.

TOP producing Hanoverian mare

An exceptional mare available.

“Godiva” is available for lease for 2009.

1992 AHS 16.1 mare by Goldschlager/Bengalxx/Absatz.
Very successful performance career! Competed and good placings up to the 4’6-4’9 jumpers. Also fancy enough to show in the hunter ring. Beautiful mover, great fancy jumper.

She has produced 9 wonderful foals- 3 by embryo transfer, and has had 6 foals herself using frozen, cooled and fresh semen. Has gotten pregnant FIRST attempt every breeding! This is a very fertile mare, and has had daughters of hers that have also been fabulous producers.

Her foals are all very athletic, beautiful movers, and great rideability showing in both the jumpers and hunters, her last 4 foals (all hunters) have been by Cabalito and I believe it is a perfect match for her!

Lots of pictures of her and her offspring on my website.
She is open for 2009 only because I thought I friend of mine was going to ride her this year (she is also VERY sound and wonderful to ride!). But has been under lights now for a month and will be ready to breed mid Jan!

Free lease to stay on my farm in N. TX Can breed her to Cabalito or the stallion of your choice.

Several other mares may be available, including a beautiful GOV Cabalito mare. All proven producers!

Free lease for 2009 --Anglo trakehner ATA papers 1994 mare by Abdullah out of full sister to grand prix jumpers. Because of personal circumstances has been left open for several years-so maybe more appropriate for ET and person with those types of resources to get unique bloodlines

It is free if you use one of our recip mares and pay for her upkeep. If you choose to ship the frozen embryo elsewhere, then there will be a fee to use the donor mare.
