at least someone at that level seems to be doing it right. Can’t wait to see them go in a couple weeks.

Good for Tamie.

I know entries don’t close until 10/1 but is anyone else concerned that is not anyone listed as a 5* entry yet on evententries?

I saw that too. I assume that for some reason they’re not listing them and then there will be a big reveal.

This part: "I would never do this to any horse. I would never have a horse have five weeks off, be back for two weeks and then fly to a Mandatory Outing and go around an Advanced. There was just something in me that said, ‘you would never do that.’” It’s refreshing.

I’m pretty sure at some point the event entries entry status just stopped updating because there are pairs I know are entered in the 3* that are not showing up either

In the show center?

Yes. There are horses definitely entered in the 3* not showing up in the show center tab on event entries

I am so excited! Tamie is one of my daughter’s sponsored riders. Hopefully we will be able to set up a signing or meet and greet at our boutique.

I just saw on the Maryland Five- Star site that the odious Clip My Horse TV, which I hate with a burning passion, will be doing the live stream. I swore never to use CMH again after I signed up for a “free trial” and could not get out of the ensuing subscription for a full year. I know that other people have had the same experience. If anyone has advice on how to watch just this event, or how to open and then cancel a subscription without whopping charges for a year afterward, I would be very grateful.

Use a prepaid gift Visa card with only enough money for the first payment.

Just create a dummy email account to get the free trial and set up your payment through PayPal. PayPal is the easiest platform I’ve found to manage subscription payments, when you’re done with watching during the trial period, cancel your CPM account and unauthorize the payment in PayPal.

Why do they make it so hard? CMH seems like amateur hour when compared to Burghley and Badminton broadcasts.

Also, it is poor marketing to not publish the 5* entries that they already know about. If you were a person that wanted to attend the 5* but needed travel reservations, would you commit without any idea who was entered? There are still no 5* entries posted. Burghley and Badminton had them posted as they knew them.

My company is doing most of the plants for the xcountry jumps and the decorations throughout the venue so I splurged and got myself a tailgate spot. If you’re walking by, please stop and say hi

so, can we not watch for free thru USEF Membership?

You can watch with a USEF membership

I really hope that the live stream is available through USEF, but wouldn’t it make sense for Maryland Five-Star to say that on their website? I know other people have had terrible experiences with CMH and would be dismayed if that is the only option. I also agree with @FitToBeTied that the five-star entries should be published as they come in. Who cares about a “reveal“? Just give us the information.
