Give me a Corona Light (w/ lime if available) on a hot day. makes me a happy girl.

I’ve never had this thing called a shower beer. I will have to try this…because a shower after a hot show day is heaven…and a beer after that same day is also heaven. Combine and it must reach new heights.

OMG you are missing out girl! get you a shower rack first; you need some place to put the beer away from the hot stream of water. when we had our own apartment in SC, SO mounted a shower caddy to the handrail and would put ice in it - room for 2 beers that would stay nice and chilly!

YEP! I have a HUGE master shower in my apartment, so I put the rack in the corner on the wall that the shower head is on, so the spray goes away from it. Never thought about filling it with ice! I even have a bucket that I could put IN the shower rack that would hold ice! At my old house, I just had a regular sized bathroom and shower/tub combo, but I’d just put the beer on top of the toilet tank (still within an arm’s reach) for safe keeping.
See, it’s because my shower rack has no room for a beer with all the stuff. I leave said beer on the counter while showering, but then it’s warm when I get out. Sad.
Am going to have to analyze this problem for a resolution. Next horse show is this weekend. Will there be shower beer? Wait to find out.
The A shows on the west all sell alcohol! Some places you can even get mixed drinks. You’ll be fine, just fine!

Oh yes, take it in with you! A cold beer in a hot shower (esp the Corona light with lime) is spot on.
Ladies, ladies, if your bathroom is small enough either the sink or the top of the toilet tank will always be within reach.
Also, who here is a fan of the Mike’s?
I love a good craft beer but man oh man on a summer day a Mike’s Hard Lemonade or Margarita Mike’s really hits the spot.
For the beer diehards, any fellow Shiner or Goose Island fans?

shiner bock? GREAT shower beer!
Yyyyeah so my dog is named Shiner Bock…
I am a fan.
What is this “wash rack” of which you speak? And “grazing” you horse? Is that like “braiding”? I have minions that do the braiding, so they must do the ‘grazing’ too.
Once my class is over and my horse has been whisked away to have done whatever it is they do to horses at the end of the day, I could be persuaded to sip a little martini – or five–. Isn’t that done at all horse competitions?

Leinie’s Grapefruit Shandy. I bet that would be a good shower beer.
And hey don’t worry, I judge myself for my love of Mich Ultra. I mean, don’t get me wrong I love a craft beer and a good hoppy IPA, too. But when you’ve been horse showing or doing yardwork in 100 degree heat and just want something cold and fast? Gimme a crappy US lager that I can chug and won’t give me a headache or make me feel so full I want to die!!!
kona big wave is by far my favorite hot day beer! It’s very light!

This ad just popped up in my facebook feed.
Hahaha! That’s awesome. And freaky…I hate targeted advertising. It makes me feel so watched.

I’m definitely being watched by FB but whatever.
ybiaw, ybiaw – ever since that thread on PSL my FB is replete with Basic White Girl ads! Uggs! PSL!! STARBUCKS!!!
A sad change because I was enjoying the ads I had before, which were mostly hilarious bc FB couldn’t decide if I was an ethnic girl in Brazil (seriously) or if I was a man who was interested in muscle (and other uh, limb) building supplements…
I guess my search history is confusing, to say the least - when you have horses it seems perfectly normal to google things like: ‘Buddenbrock semen for sale’ ‘FAT CAT muscle building supplement’ ‘ethnic hair treatment’ etc…
PS how would you feel about a Pumpkin Spice Shandy?
It’s almost that time of year where craft beers get their pumpkin on…
I took my kids to McDonald’s yesterday to give myself a day off cooking, and they now have PSLs on the menu. That is SO WRONG. It was 92 degrees yesterday!!! and it’s McD’s.

Heeeere! Love them both. Chicago has spoiled me because there’s always a Goose Island on tap nearby. If I have to BMOB I always bring a big bottle of Sofie.

Hahaha! Pumpkin Spice ruins lives. And beer.
