Let’s go WAY out on a delusional limb and say MB was trying to appease MHG with fake 911 calls. That everything he said about being fearful for his life or family was just a lie.

If I were in the position of LK and I were delusional enough to believe these calls were fake, why on earth would I still stay in that environment? Why on earth would I stay on a property where I’m supposedly fearful, where dark SUVs are pulling up at 3:15 AM, and I’m on a property with someone insane enough to fake 911 calls stating that I’m a trespasser, than I’m insane, that I’m harassing and stalking someone and their family, and that I’m a serious threat to MB and his family?

Completely absurd.

My interpretation of the 911 calls is that they were made by a delusional man, and illustrative of his mental breakdown. I think we can’t read his “intent” into them in the same way we can’t determine that he had “intent” to kill LK.

If a sane man wants a tenant/client off the premises, there’s a course of action they take which is very different from calling 911 and saying the things you quoted above.

Every sane person who was present in real time when he made those calls should have seen red flags regarding his mental state. At the same time, when you listen to the calls, you get the impression of an alpha male aggressively “taking charge” of his life.

Which is it, alpha male with bullying tendencies or someone in the midst of a mental breakdown?

In hindsight, after the escalation in delusional behavior (the shooting), it seems obvious it’s delusional behavior. If LK had realized she was dealing with an insane man with access to guns, then, yeah, she probably would have fled. But if MHG or RC or Tarshis did not realize the severity of his mental problems, why would you expect LK to?

Landlords ask tenants to go and they go. Barn owners ask boarders to go and they go.

The ones who go to court are either seeking assistance or are problem people. There is no defending what LK did. Not ever.

If you’re dealing with someone you know or suspect will be difficult, you should work extra hard to follow the legal procedure. Let her know in writing that you’re ending the client relationship, in addition to asking her to leave. Let her know you’re working with a lawyer.

So she can amp up her attacks? How much more could he/ they take? The legal process isn’t a quick resolution. Everyone knows this. "Difficult " is one thing. Dangerous is another.

If you’re dealing with someone prickly and stubborn, it’s even more dangerous to skip the boring legal process, say “this is war”, and “scare” them out while trying to get them banned for life by USEF.

She’s NOT “prickly”. She’s dangerous. The legal process is not “boring” it’s arduous, lengthy, expensive.

They took the easy route and it wasn’t just “weird stuff on FB” It was badly veiled threats.

I’m glad you have empathy for MB. I assume his mental breakdown was due to LK/JK/RG and I’m sorry for him as well. We really don’t know how he handled the situation bc we don’t know the WHOLE situation that he was dealt.

I agree but the hay guy was there every night, at least one weekends. Which is another good point. She was watching anyone that pulled onto the property. She would have known hay guy was coming there every night, and I for sure think she knew why. I think she was completely aware of MB having to hire security because of her

She could have anticipated that MB might arrive at the house shortly… and grabbed the gun out of its hiding spot.

I find it rude and condescending when you contradict what I’ve said and add “and you know it”. I suspect you know that, but maybe not.

I personally find many things posted in these threads to be rude and condescending. So on that point we can agree. Clearly we do not agree on what is actually the things that are rude and condescending.

Of course I have empathy for MB. He is a gifted, charismatic equestrian who made positive contributions to many people’s lives. Like all humans, he had his flaws.

His handling of the situation with LK was tragically mishandled, due to his mental breakdown.

I think it’s naive and wrong to assume or think that his mental breakdown is attributable to LKs actions.

You know, I’ve agreed with some of your posts in the past but this particular narrative is getting absurd. Do you know what their “insane” response to the document was? No. We know she refused to sign what she claims was (essentially) a license to kill her. Ridiculous.
LK posted threatening and disparaging remarks on Facebook about him. Says she’s not in control of her multiple personalities. Who wouldn’t call the police about that? I’m a “sane” person and an introvert and if I felt the police weren’t providing me any support I would 100% go into the station and ask for help. I would be angry that I was being ignored because my (for lack of a better word) abuser was a tiny woman.
