Voter registration, Driver’s License, car registration, where you file taxes - all those and other ancillary things can be considered proof of residency.
So…I’m seeing officers get violations for:
- Introducing contraband into a facility and falsifying the logs.
- failing to properly search a prisoner for weapons
- failing to properly de-escalate a situation before probable bodily harm could occur
- failing to promptly issue a report about a serious incident
- not properly securing the scene of a motor vehicle accident
And I’m done looking….but considering the shooting incident and evidence at trial….it makes you wonder……
ETA: 6) submitting false info into an official department record.
No one was talking about YOU. We were discussing LK. Nothing to do with you.
Ambitious_Kate:OK. But RR said she didn’t watch much of the trial. So how would she know? Wierd.
Right, how could I have watched the trial after it was over? It’s not like it’s available on YouTube for anyone to see any time. Jesus.
Again. NOT YOU.
THE POSTS AREN’T ABOUT YOU.
ekat:Here’s the change. This change was noted in the proposed Amended filing that was approved, and then apparently got overlooked when filing last week, so now it’s in there the way it was proposed.
Vs
When changes like this are made to court filings, is it required to provide justification for the change and proof that the change is true? In other words, were Michael’s lawyers required to explain why they changed his residence from NJ to FL, and did they have to provide proof that he does indeed meet the requirements for FL residency?
No. The NJ farm was sold and the FL property was all he had left.

It was in the proposed amended answer/counter. That proposal was approved. LK, through her attorneys, never challenged that issue. They only challenged the added new counterclaim re: the illegal recordings.
If the other side doesn’t challenge it, then there’s nothing to prove, necessarily.
What? It was approved by the judge that MB could submit a new set of answers and the new counterclaim.
How does the judge saying MB is permitted to amend and correct and add additional claims amount to anyone—LK or the judge — accepting that those claims are true?

So definitely numbers 2-6 could be issues in MB’s case.
You know, all you would have to do is say “after I made that initial post about not watching the trial I changed my mind and got all caught up on you tube.”
No one is berating you, we are just functioning off of the information you give us

I just added a 6. Submitting false information into an official department record.
But yeah, seeing as how there is discipline action where officers have done some questionable things, you cannot rule out that there could have been some CYA going on.
failing to properly de-escalate a situation before probable bodily harm could occur
Wasn’t her gun chestbeating brought up in one of the 911 calls?
When MB visited the PD precinct maybe?
eggbutt:No, it us the frequent misinformation and errors you post as fact and refuse to change your story or prove your point that is annoying. And sure reeks of Kanarek defense. Do you know Lauren? You wouldn’t be so quick to jump to her aid if you did.
Can you provide examples of “the frequent misinformation and errors” I post as fact? Regarding my points about the trial, the charges, and the verdicts, I posted the relevant parts of the trial right here in this thread to back up my points. All of you refused to watch it, and I can only assume that is because you know it will prove that I’m right.
No, I do not know Lauren. Go back and read again what I have written regarding my opinions of her and tell me if I am jumping to her aid.
Again, I have not defended or even said anything nice about Lauren, but since I don’t offer any praise of Michael, you just assume I am a Kanarek defender. It’s really weird.
IMHO, @eggbutt and others know you haven’t defended LK. However, they can’t legitimately counter your calm, correct, factual posts on the trial and the verdict, so they falsely accuse you of being a LK defender or fan girl.
Likewise, they will accuse you of posting “frequent misinformation or errors”, but never document it, since it’s a false accusation.

How is that police report? Did you read it? Where did you get it?
Edit to include the all important bolding.

What reasons could CH have to not want to share that information?
Voter registration, Driver’s License, car registration, where you file taxes - all those and other ancillary things can be considered proof of residency.
Then why would they stipulate that he’s a resident of NJ in 2020 and then stipulate that he’s a resident of Florida in 2022?
The homesteading laws in Florida are preferable for someone who wants to protect assets from judgement, but residency is not determined by what you claim is your residence.

In 2020 he had 2 properties, now he has one.
Stipulating he was a resident in 2020 is a nothing Burger. He was. He had a home there so for part of the year he was a resident of NJ. He was also a resident of Florida for part of the year.
Y’all couldn’t handle my butchering abilities!

He has been residing in NJ continuously since Aug 7, 2019, without leaving tor as much as a day.
Owning property in a state does not make you a resident of that state.

I can only guess.
My guess is this is a situation where CH has no idea what that police report says, has never seen it. Just tossed it out there as a fact, pretending to know it is a fact.
He has been residing in NJ continuously since Aug 7, 2019, without leaving tor as much as a day.
What an asinine comment. No, he has been held in NJ since Aug 7, 2019. It’s not like he was allowed to choose to go back to his home in FL to await trial.
