MB CIVIL SUIT UPDATE #10 K’s Request to Adjourn (delay) DENIED 11/01/22

Your horse looks rather bemused, what a good boy.

To be clear, the big barn she trained with Robin Brueckmann and actually did quite well at the many shows they went to is far from a “luxurious show facility”. It is an old, well maintained 150 stall - 2 barn facility with the 2nd barn stalls surrounding the indoor arena on two sides. Huge pastures, simple sand ring and is perfect for families and youth! It is primarily Western and English hunt seat and a large 4-H club. When we were there, we were one of 4 dressage riders there.

LK became a thorn in the side of many of the long term boarders and trouble started. Daddy flew in to put the owner in her place and within seconds she had him backed down and eating out of her hand. She’s not woman to be trifled with but a dear friend. We were there for 8 years…loved it.

Edit - it is NOT run by Robin. Robin is simply a very private 1 horse boarder who has been there over 20 years, keeps to herself, rides/trains at 5 AM 5 days a week. By 9 AM she’s at the gym or teaching Yoga!

Yikes. Do they have horses in all 150 stalls? That sounds like an awful lot of horses. Not to mention the people that go with the horses.

No one has ever accused her of thinking

I worked part-time at a gas station. The number of people that I’ve seen put gas in yellow cans and diesel in red cans is rather alarming, especially during the idiotic truckers rally in Ottawa. I hope some of the diesel that was put in gas cans was used in the wrong vehicle at some point.

Yes, they are always full with another small hay barn with about 10 shedrow stalls. There are about a dozen pasture board horses as well.

She trucks hay in from NY in semi trailers. There is a team of 8 Hispanic men who work the barn (feeding, letting out & bringing in daily). The horses are stalled all day Saturday and Sunday. The stalls are stripped once a week. During the week boarders are expected to pick their own stalls and blanket their own horses or pay someone to do it for them. LK paid a young college student to take care of her horses.

Speaking of the Hispanics, the owner provides housing on the property for them and their immediate families, helps them with English and immigration, settles them in churches of their choice, in other words treats her employees like family members because to her they are family.

This huge property has been in the owner’s family for 3 generations.

Wow. Impressive on all fronts!

Indeed.

Forgot to say they have a lengthy wait list! The only reason we left is because my daughter got her own place with a small barn for her horses after she married and was pregnant with her daughter.

I see the owner frequently - she doesn’t speak of Lauren publicly under any circumstances, just like Robin.

LK’s very old gelding is still there and well cared for by the employees.

Is that another person she had issues with?

I’d rather not say and leave her out of it please. She is a very lovely young woman, recently married and no longer lives in NC.

Ok… not the person I was thinking of who has posted here then. :+1:

As I said in my post, it’s fun and great memories. Not sure how cute photos with your horse count as “my life is better than yours” lol

The only reason to post pictures of Louboutins is to show that you have Louboutins. Same reason people post photos of their spendy custom boots or fancy new horse or what have you - to show off. Amiright?

Posting videos of yourself leading your horse up and down the aisle, while staring angrily at the camera and walking stiffly in said Louboutins is weird, but whatever. With the other vague posts, it’s obvious she’s trying to send a message, but…I don’t think it’s working.

I hope she had fun on her night out. I had fun reading my book and going to bed at 10pm. I didn’t feel the need to post an Instagram about it, but then again, I don’t live on social media.

I’d rather do Facebook, at least then your memories don’t disappear after 24 hours, and you get to see them annually in your memories. I’ve been enjoying some pictures of my now 4YO dog in her very puppy stage lately.

FWIW, I have a gas container sitting in my foaling barn right now because I fueled the quad with it yesterday. Farms require equipment and equipment takes gas. I don’t know why that would be a big deal as long as there isn’t a fire hazard.

Also, horses do not require chandeliers or million dollar facilities to receive excellent care. The most valuable horse I’ve ever owned was purchased out of a dairy barn. He was a 950k two year old I purchased later in his life. The jockeys/trainers that sold him to me made million dollar deals in the TB industry and saw more money than I’ve ever seen or will see in my life. There are plenty of barns that aren’t million dollar facilities that provide excellent care.

And who cares what boots, dress or shoes LK is wearing. I don’t.

I don’t know. I don’t assign motives to people who post horse and stable pics. I’m loving the matchy matchy thread. I wish I had a horse to participate, but don’t see it as “my life is better than yours” necessarily.

My friends and I are into gaming, and I built a new PC and posted all sorts of pics because I was proud that I built it myself. Is that “bragging” or “my life is better than yours” posting? That’s what I spend on instead of shoes. LOL

I enjoy a good engagement or wedding or prom or senior photo shoot with horses. I think it says that horses are important to that person and with a skilled photographer they’re neat shots. I wish I’d done it for my senior year but it wasn’t a thing back then.

You are the one who said that was the whole point of instagram (on this very thread, today).

So, no chance a vacuumer is working on a Saturday and posted something about the Kanarek’s poor behavior in the case they filed?

Wishful thinking. Le sigh.

Nope. I did just learn that what I consider a scooter = a motorcycle though.
