MB CIVIL SUIT UPDATE #10 K’s Request to Adjourn (delay) DENIED 11/01/22

We have a smaller barn, and I ride a good number of our horses… all but a few. I know which, even those I don’t ride, are on a special diet or are prone to colic, etc, and I still ask if I can feed a treat to those I do handle. I can’t imagine being told not to feed a treat (or certain treat) and continuing to do so. To me, it stinks of something foul. Why continue after being told not to? Especially sugar? What if DD was IR? I can’t imagine why someone would do that unless 1) they were utterly stupid, or 2) they were up to no good.

This is when your deportment lessons take over, and you say something like " gosh, that’s awfully nice of you! Thanks!" And go back to asking him about the situation at hand. He wasn’t a crazy murderer, he was a frequent flyer addict, but I was interviewing him about civil commitment.

The 2008 Olympics team that Barisone was on was disqualified because the horse of one the riders, Courtney King Dye, tested for a miniscule amount of an anti-inflammatory. The OTC ointment is sold in Asia. She and the team claimed it was somehow an environmental contamination.
It’s spooky. Of the four riders, three have had incidents ending or harming their careers. Barisone tried for the shooting, Debbie McDonald ensnared in her husband’s sex abuse case, King Dye with brain injury after a fall from a client’s horse.
It seems only Steffen Peters escaped the “Hong Kong curse.”

Besides the points made in other replies about this, I’d also like to point out that many of these defendants would have been out on bail (or in a state like NJ, released pending trial) before their trials and therefore had access to personal grooming, shopping, etc. unlike MB.

I don’t care if the owner says no for no dietary or other reason.
LK, anyone, should respect an owners wishes

Wasn’t that the point I was making?

ETA: I said I know the dietary restrictions and I still ask anyways. I think we are agreeing…?

Ok, knowing some background, I probably would have been able to handle an answer like that.

Still, nope. Never got anything that off the wall!

Many posts behind but how amazingly awesome !

This made me Google deportment vs comportment! I wasn’t familiar with the former… still not sure I know the difference!

And that has to do with contempt of court, why?

Thought you had me on ignore cause I’m mean?

Why do I get an eye roll from you for agreeing? Seems a bit strange…

Because of the dog thread? I never put you on ignore, but clearly you are holding a grudge. Whatevs.

Dr Schlesinger made a point of saying that MB was neatly dressed and presented at every meeting but not in court.

It may have been calculated. It may be both MB and LK were on anti-anxiety meds to get through court. It had to have been tough for both.

What I heard was “it’s shower day for my area”

Yes, he was worried he wasn’t going to make it back in time and then he wouldn’t get another chance for 3 days. (Brooks, for reference)

Ooooh I missed that last bit. Sometimes he makes me really angry and I stop listening.

Oh, he was aggravating, no doubt. Didn’t take the jury long to send him away though.
