MB CIVIL SUIT UPDATE #10 K’s Request to Adjourn (delay) DENIED 11/01/22

Roemer, Consul, Rampal, Fairplay, and a coupke of others.
Then the van I was driving from APHIS broke down stranding me roadside. In August.
Pre cell phone days.

I also got asked on the elevator, as I stood there in a ponytail, cutoffs and t shirt looking about 12, what was in the container .

I guess a lot of us have a crush on Boyd.

I worked at a school where Franz Mairinger first brought Dressage to Australia.

I beat Ulrich AND can’t think of her name as I am too old, Eventing Star in the day, in a One Day Event …

…in the Improvers division

I’m still calling a tie between riding Abdullah and meeting Secretariat and getting some of his mane hair.

 I got completely tongue scrubbed by a “bad actor” puissance horse with a biting problem. Lol he even licked my hair. That is my favorite “brush with equestrian fame”…not the most famous, but my favorite. It’s gotta count for something!

I am kind of amazed about the mane hair. It’s a wonder Secretariat was not bald if the guy did that same thing on a regular basis.

I will say I have two locks of mane from past horses that I’ve been holding onto for a long time in the hopes that the price of cloning will come down. The only problem is that by this time I’m not sure which lock of hair is from which horse, and I would definitely only want to clone one of those two! Lol.

Only if you can pronounce it correctly, too.

My coach had to change a flat tire on her rig after trucking in for lessons with Shannon Peters. Steffen Peters asked her if she needed help. That’s as close as I get to Olympic fame.

I used to volunteer at Spruce while I was in grad school and got to talk to many greats in line for burgers. “i.e - hey Ian, can you pass the ketchup?”

I rubbed lots of shoulders with :medal_sports::medal_sports::medal_sports: winners, especially early in the weeks before the big classes.

Randomly became friends with a guy that did the Jumbotron videos outside of horses and he hired my boyfriend at the time to run a camera for the international ring and I got to watch some classes from the top of the clock tower. It was a good few summers.

ETA - I also helped the water jump judge one time and that was a cool view.

I once played pool with an Olympian at Schanks. I miss going to Spruce!

I bought a horse from a woman who rode in the first KY 3 day event, the World Championship in 1978. I almost bought a horse from Phyllis Dawson who rode in Seoul.

I once bought a little Kiwi jumper that had been ridden by Greg Best. Cool horse.

I met Ian way back before the Big Ben days, when he was stabled out of Dwyer Hill.

During the 1978 Rolex 3-day Event, I, also, stood beside Secretariat and gave him a pat. However, a friend then yelled, “Dee, look at this horse!!!” My eyes then beheld Nijinsky II in all his glory and I was in love. 70,000 thousand people at the Kentucky Horse Park fell in love with Volturno, myself included. Just Wow!

Actually that would be an amazing start for a who done it / Dick Franciseque mystery. You get blackmailed for your Secretariat DNA

I love it! And believe me, if I had the spare cash, there would absolutely be a little Secretariat II trotting around my pasture—a lot of those hairs have bulbs attached! Lol!

Volturno was gorgeous

Or perhaps some researcher looking for DNA for whatever they are doing. Like researchers seeking Meterorites, they are very valuable and universities will pay. $ Not much pure Secretariat DNA likely to be floating around could be worth something to someone.

That was my first thought when I heard about the hair: Clone him!

Would one need the permission of the Secretariat syndicate to do that?

Would he be a good event sire?
