The tropical serenade at aloha isle is my favorite: coconut dole whip with guava and pineapple juice (and a cake pop but who’s counting really)

Second is the spiky pineapple at trader Sam’s, which is the boozy version.

Aloha Isle is the only place on property you can get the coconut variety, which is totally worth trying if you haven’t already.

My daughter likes it, I’m not a straight coconut fan.

It’s not particularly coconutty. I would say it’s about 70% vanilla but the coconut cuts the sweetness by about half. It would be delicious in coffee IMO.

I highlighted it in orange so it’s easier to see.

@MHM I apologize to you. I had been without sleep for quite a few hours. You were right. I meant the Youtube videos from Law & Crime, not 48 hours.

Sorry, my fault.

So how are things likely to go down on Friday regarding the motions pertaining to JK and KK? Since Nagel/O’Connor don’t represent them, that firm can’t act on their behalf in any way - correct?

And if JK intends to represent himself, then he will have to interrupt whatever activities he has planned on his Euro trip so he can dial into the Zoom call. Can he also represent KK (since he is her spouse)?

Also, did I see that someone determined JK is not currently licensed in NJ? And if that is the case, then no one can make any arguments on their behalf at this Friday’s proceedings and they will just have to accept Sceusi’s decisions without having any input. (Perhaps another email from JK will be forthcoming.)

[Edited to change Nagel/Silverman to Nagel/O’Connor - got the attorneys mixed up in my mind!]

What is going on at Vernon these days? I thought the track shut down at one point within the last few years.

Have the lawyers Lane M. Ferdinand and John P. Graves been listed before? Totally missed them if they have been listed.

Is that where they are?

Jonathan Kanarek is not licensed in NJ. He can represent himself pro se, but he cannot represent his wife, Kirby Kanarek.

Nagel’s firm filed the motion to quash on behalf of LK, after the deadlines for Jonathan and Kirby had passed. It was not the proper way to fight those subpoenas.

Both Mr Deininger on behalf of MB, and Mr Silver, on behalf of SGF have stated clearly, and probably will also argue on Friday that Jonathan and Kirby have no standing to speak Friday.

The court’s ruling today leads me to believe they will prevail on that Friday as well.

If Jonathan and Kirby Kanarek had wanted to fight the subpoenas properly, they should have done so before the motions for contempt were filed in August.

For reference:

Mr Deininger:

And Mr Silver:

If O’Connor filed a notice of appearance now, would that change anything? Or is it too late to make any difference?

If O’Connor filed a notice of appearance now on behalf of Jonathan and Kirby Kanarek, I would be looking for a new law firm myself if I were Lauren Kanarek.

Things can get very problematic when one firm is representing the whole family in what could become competing interests.

That being said, I think the ship has sailed on these subpoenas.

Jonathan and Kirby received their subpoenas in July. Their deadlines to respond came and went in August.

Mr Silver and Mr Deininger filed motions for contempt in August.

Mr and Mrs Kanarek’s timeline to respond to those two separate motions expired in September, with nary a word from Jonathan and Kirby.

In October, Jonathan Kanarek skirted all rules of propriety and ethics and wrote an email to the judge, and STILL didn’t address the subpoenas, per Mr Silver’s filing.

So, too little too late, in my opinion. Jonathan Kanarek is an attorney. He knows, or should know better.
